An opportunity has arisen within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability for 4 LES Driver 2s to join our Nightshift Streetscene Team, with 3 permanent posts and 1 fixed-term post until 9 March 2026.

NRS brings together a diverse range of Glasgow City Council operational, technical and development services that focus on sustainable transport, place making and delivering essential city services.

If you’re interested in working within a service that touches on all aspects within the city, please read on.

You will drive and be responsible for a variety of vehicles, complete all relevant paperwork and carry out any associated labouring duties. You will transport people, goods, and materials to/from given locations as instructed and ensure that the daily scheduled work is undertaken in a safe and efficient manner.

The location is city-wide, and candidates must be prepared to work at any Depot location as required.

PLEASE NOTE, A DRIVING LICENCE IS AN ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENT OF THIS ROLE.

Weekly Hours: 37 per week

Work Pattern: 4 on, 4 off rota working 7pm – 7am

Additional Payments: In addition to the annual salary the role attracts an annual non-standard work pattern/hours (NSWPH) payment of £10,930 plus an annual working context & demand (WCD) payment of £1,172.

As part of the pre-employment checks for this post the successful candidate will require to undergo a pre-employment medical, GP clearance, and a driving assessment.
