Live-in Management Couple

Staffordshire, Salary circa £85,000 per annum We have a fantastic role for a dedicated and experienced House Management Couple to join a small team of household staff on a private estate in Staffordshire. The Couple will consist of a House Manager and Housekeeper. Previous experience and longevity working within a busy private household is essential. The large stunning residence is situated upon beautiful countryside, and is on the border of Shropshire. House Manager Responsibilities: Managing and leading the estate staff Oversee and perform basic interior and exterior maintenance Manage alarms, security systems, and household safety protocols Supervise vehicle maintenance and management Maintain outbuildings and storage areas Carry out AD-HOC DIY tasks and minor household repairs Coordinate and liaise with contractors and service providers Perform interior and exterior painting, as well as specialist surface treatments Conduct basic plumbing and electrical maintenance Monitor and replace garden lights as needed Check, clean, and unblock gutters Oversee lawn mowing and basic garden upkeep Manage household supplies and run errands as required Ensure efficient organisation of storage areas and household inventory Provide basic care for animals on the property Experience with cattle is desirable but not essential Accompany the family on domestic and international trips across Europe and the US as needed Assist with other household tasks as required Housekeeper Responsibilities: Basic food preparation Packing and unpacking for travel Housekeeping – cleaning all public and private areas Deep cleaning of the family home Organising the kitchen Laundry and ironing Ensure toiletries and provisions are replenished Keeping courtyards and immediate areas around the house clear Changing linen and towels in bedrooms Animal Care Travel with the family across Europe and US The ideal candidates will be hardworking and efficient, with a keen eye for detail and discretion an absolute must. The right candidates will be joining an experienced Estate Team on site. Days/Hours: The basic working hours are 40-50 hours per week, Monday – Friday. However, when the family are in residence you will be required to work weekends with additional time off in the week. There will be occasional travel to the principal\'s other property in the UK. Accommodation: Self-contained flat within the main property but very separate from the family. The accommodation has a spacious living and bedroom area, bathroom, and kitchen.
