Live-in Personal Assistant (PA) / Carer – North London

Live-in Personal Assistant (PA) / Carer – North London

£140 per day | Live-in position | Permanent role

I’m looking for a friendly, energetic and reliable female PA/Carer to join my small team and become part of my life in North London.

I’m a wheelchair user with a spinal cord injury, but I lead a very active and social life. I work in social media, acting and enjoy getting out and about, travelling, interior design, seeing friends, and spending time with my very friendly Goldendoodle.

This is very much a personal assistant role as well as a care role. I’m looking for someone who is easy-going, capable and happy to get involved in everyday life rather than someone looking for a traditional clinical care environment.

The role includes:

  • Personal care, dressing and assistance with my daily routine
  • Assisted transfers – full training provided
  • Cooking and general household tasks
  • Cleaning and keeping my home tidy
  • Driving me to appointments, social events and activities
  • Helping with my dog, including walks and playing ball with him
  • Supporting me with travel and trips away
  • General day-to-day assistance so I can continue living independently

Working pattern

The position is live-in and works on a rota of approximately one month on, followed by two weeks off. You’ll be sharing the live-in role with another PA, with shifts divided between you, so you won’t be working continuously throughout each day.

The rate is £140 per day, including the overnight stay. Nights are generally quiet and I am rarely disturbed.

About you

You’ll need to be:

  • Female
  • Friendly, positive and respectful
  • Reliable and organised
  • Clean and tidy
  • Comfortable around dogs
  • A confident driver of an automatic vehicle
  • Aged 25+ for vehicle insurance purposes
  • Legally entitled to work in the UK

Previous care experience is not essential. I’m much more interested in finding the right personality and attitude, as full training will be provided.

This role would suit someone who enjoys variety, has a good sense of humour and is looking for something more personal than a standard care position.

If you’re interested, please apply with a little information about yourself, your current situation, your availability and why you think the role would suit you.

Pay: £980.00 per week

Benefits:

  • Flexible schedule

Work Location: In person
