What you\\\'ll need

To join our 12-month Cyber Security Placement, you must be a penultimate-year student on a credit-bearing placement as part of a Bachelor\\\'s or Integrated Master\\\'s degree in Cyber Security, Information Security, or another discipline that includes relevant security modules.

To thrive in this role, you\\\'ll need:

Your Development Path

Once you\\\'ve completed your initial training, you\\\'ll be ready to take on your first role. Project placements vary based on business needs, and we encourage interns to explore a wide range of opportunities to discover what excites them most. Typical roles on this programme may include:

  • Cloud Security Architect
  • Cyber Risk Analyst

Throughout your placement, you\\\'ll be supported with ongoing training, coaching, and guidance to help you grow your skills and shape your career.

You will also have the opportunity to apply what you\\\'ve learned at university, explore different areas of Cyber Security and uncover where your strengths and passions lie.

By the end of the scheme, you\\\'ll walk away with valuable experience, in-demand skills—and hopefully, an offer to join us when you graduate.

To bring this to life, here are three Graduates of our Technology Degree Apprenticeship programme, who joined Accenture in 2022, completed their apprenticeship in September 2025, and are now shaping the future of cybersecurity:

  • Niamh, now a Cyber Risk Analyst in our CMT Security team, is leading on Human Factors in cybersecurity. She empowers organisations to build secure environments by delivering human risk assessments and training programmes - proving that people are the strongest line of defence.
  • Peace serves as a Security Operations Analyst, defending client networks against evolving threats. She uses cutting-edge technologies to detect and respond to incidents, working within a high-performing team to strengthen cybersecurity resilience across industries.
  • Jaansi is now a Security Consulting Analyst, having led high-impact governance, risk, and compliance projects for Tier 1 investment banks. She is currently shaping a new CISO Target Operating Model and spearheading initiatives in compliance and threat intelligence - strengthening resilience across the Financial Services sector.

Where you\\\'ll work

At Accenture, we value collaboration and connection. You\\\'ll be expected to work from your assigned UK office at least three days per week, so you must live within commuting distance. Depending on project needs, you may also spend time at client sites across the UK—sometimes more than three days a week.

Key Dates

The Cyber Security Placement starts in September 2026, and you\\\'ll work with us for twelve months. Places are offered on a first come first served basis, we encourage you to apply early. The application deadline is 30th November 2025; however, we reserve the right to close earlier depending on demand.
