My client is looking for an experienced Microsoft 365 & Azure Engineer to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong Microsoft 365 and Azure expertise who enjoys combining technical problem-solving with outstanding customer service.

This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll support both internal Microsoft 365 infrastructure and external clients, acting as a technical escalation point while helping to deliver seamless onboarding experiences for new customers. The Role

As the Microsoft 365 & Azure Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining and supporting Microsoft cloud environments while providing technical expertise to both internal teams and external clients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting and maintaining Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, including Entra ID, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online and core Azure services.
  • Monitoring system health, investigating technical issues and implementing configuration changes.
  • Managing identity, access management and security best practices across Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Using PowerShell to automate administration, deployments and routine maintenance tasks.
  • Acting as the technical point of contact for client Microsoft 365 and Azure queries.
  • Supporting the onboarding of new customers, configuring Microsoft 365 tenants and resolving technical issues.
  • Acting as the technical escalation point for both the Support and Onboarding teams.
  • Producing and maintaining technical documentation, knowledge base articles and client configuration records.
  • Advising customers on Microsoft 365 best practice and helping them maximise the value of their cloud environment.

To be successful, you'll have strong experience across the Microsoft cloud ecosystem, including:

Essential

  • Microsoft 365 administration
  • Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
  • SharePoint Online administration, configuration and permissions
  • Microsoft Azure administration
  • PowerShell scripting and automation
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

Desirable

  • Exchange Online
  • Microsoft Teams
  • Microsoft Purview
  • Microsoft Copilot
  • Microsoft certifications (Azure and/or Microsoft 365)
