£50,000 per annum + Permanent Benefits

We're seeking a Senior Microsoft Platform Engineer to join a growing technology team responsible for maintaining and enhancing a complex hybrid estate spanning on-premises infrastructure, Microsoft 365 and public cloud platforms.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in cloud transformation, platform automation, identity management and Microsoft 365 optimisation whilst helping shape a secure and scalable technology environment.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll take ownership of core Microsoft platforms and services across both cloud and on-premises environments, ensuring availability, security and operational excellence.

Your responsibilities will include:

Administering and optimising Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive and Intune

Managing identity and access across Active Directory and Entra ID

Designing and supporting hybrid cloud infrastructure across Azure and on-premises environments

Implementing and maintaining SSO, MFA and Conditional Access policies

Supporting Microsoft 365 security, compliance and governance initiatives

Managing hybrid connectivity including VPNs, DNS, routing and Firewall integrations

Automating operational processes through PowerShell, Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code practices

Supporting platform monitoring, patching, resilience and disaster recovery

Delivering cloud migration, transformation and optimisation projects

Producing and maintaining technical documentation and operational standards

Working closely with infrastructure, networking, security and service teams to improve platform performance and reliabilityWhat We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced Microsoft platform professional with a strong blend of infrastructure, cloud and M365 expertise.

You'll ideally have:

5+ years' experience within Infrastructure, Microsoft 365, Cloud or Platform Engineering

Strong hands-on administration experience across Microsoft 365

Expertise in Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, Intune and Entra ID

Experience supporting hybrid Microsoft environments

Strong Active Directory and identity management experience

Experience with Azure cloud services

PowerShell Scripting and automation experience

Good understanding of networking fundamentals including DNS, VPNs, routing and Firewalls

Experience supporting Windows Server environments

Knowledge of platform security, monitoring, backup and disaster recovery

Excellent troubleshooting and stakeholder communication skillsDesirable Experience
