Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Motor Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of motor vehicles to ensure optimal safety, performance, and reliability. Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and other vehicle components utilising hand tools and power tools.
  • Assemble and disassemble vehicle parts with precision, following manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
  • Use welding equipment for repairs requiring metal fabrication or structural reinforcement.
  • Maintain detailed records of all repair work performed, including parts used and time spent on each task.
  • Assist customers by explaining repair procedures, providing estimates, and ensuring their questions are addressed professionally.
  • Lift heavy vehicle components safely using proper techniques and equipment to prevent injury or damage.
Skills
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and technical diagrams.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
  • Experience in vehicle maintenance, equipment repair, and troubleshooting complex mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy lifting, welding, and equipment handling.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
  • Physical stamina for heavy lifting and working in various positions for extended periods.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • This position is part-time, with flexible working hours with the potential to increase to full-time employment.
