Lead and manage the design and implementation of network elements for BT Group, ensuring they meet the company's standards and specifications. Ensure the reliability and performance of network elements by conducting regular maintenance and troubleshooting activities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and product management to develop and implement new network solutions. Develop and maintain design documentation, including network diagrams, technical specifications, and configuration guidelines. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in network technology to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation. Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effective and high-quality network element solutions. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members to enhance their skills and knowledge. Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify any risks or vulnerabilities in the network elements and take necessary actions to mitigate them. Develop and implement processes and procedures for the efficient and effective management of network elements. Communicate regularly with stakeholders and clients to understand their requirements and provide updates on the status of network element projects. Work closely with the project management team to ensure timely and successful completion of network element projects within budget. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in the design and management of network elements. Continuously monitor and analyze network element performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for network element issues outside of regular business hours.
