Night Manager

At Morrisons, the real magic happens overnight. As our Night Manager, you are the store's engine room; leading from the floor to ensure our shelves are fully stocked, counters are prepped, and the store is 100% ready for our customers every morning.

Reporting to the Store Manager, you’ll take full ownership of the night shift, setting the pace, driving efficiency, and keeping team morale high.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading overnight: Inspiring, coaching, and supporting a dedicated night shift team.
  • Setting the Stage: Ensuring immaculate store presentation and setup so our morning specialists hit the ground running.
  • Mastering Operations: Driving high-volume stock replenishment, labour efficiency, and smooth stock flow.
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforcing strict Health & Safety, store security, and cold-chain temperature controls.
  • Stock Integrity: Managing inventory accuracy, shrink, and waste to maximize yield.

About you

You’re a resilient, high-energy leader who takes pride in delivering flawless standards before the sun comes up.

  • Operations Focused: Strong grasp of stock control, labour productivity, and shift planning.
  • Proven Leader: Experience managing teams in high-volume retail, logistics, or hospitality (overnight experience a plus)
  • Hands-on Approach: You lead from the front, setting the pace on the shop floor.
  • Great Communicator: Able to boost night-team morale and deliver clear handovers to daytime managers.
