<p>We have an exciting new opportunity to work as a <strong>Hygiene Operative</strong> in a busy food production company based in <strong>Barking</strong>. We are looking for an energetic, experienced person to strengthen their friendly team working on the night shift.</p> <p><strong>Role purpose:</strong></p> <p>Responsible for the cleanliness of all designated production rooms, equipment, and facilities areas using appropriate equipment/and or materials as supplied in line with cleaning schedules.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Maintain the highest standard of cleanliness with assigned areas by ensuring that relevant work instructions/schedules and standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed.</li> <li>Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of all washrooms/toilet facilities, locker rooms, canteens, kitchens, offices, and other common areas including warehouse.</li> <li>Ensure cleanliness of factory production areas, including and not an exhaustive list the production equipment, surfaces, overheads etc.</li> <li>Liaise daily with other members of the production team in identifying areas/procedures requiring improvement to allow improved performance.</li> <li>Ensure the stocks of cleaning chemicals are stored safely and report any shortfalls.</li> <li>Ensure all products are used and stored in accordance with the relevant COSHH Regulations.</li> <li>Ensure completion of all hygiene related documents i.e., daily check-list reports.</li> <li>Observe and adhere to all H&S procedures, ensuring you are working in a safe manner, that personal safety and that of others is key priority.</li> <li>Carry out duties in line with SOP and schedules, ensuring efficient and correct use of all materials and machinery.</li> <li>Attend appropriate training sessions appertaining to post. Also undertake any additional training the company may see appropriate such as team building, collaboration exercises and relevant production training or refresher courses.</li> <li>To carry out such ad hoc duties that may be required by the business from time to time.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Person Specification</strong>:</p> <ul> <li>Proven experience of working within a similar role within the food industry sector.</li> <li>Good interpersonal/verbal/written skills</li> <li>Good understanding of Food Safety and Hygiene.</li> <li>Demonstrate high standard of hygiene.</li> <li>Self-reliant, ability to work both as an individual and a team member.</li> <li>Excellent attention to details</li> <li>Can-do attitude and willingness to support team in times of demand.</li> <li>Strong safety concise working practices, always adhering to health and safety.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>COSHH certificate holder (essential)</li> <li>Food safety certificate level 2 or above (desirable)</li> <li>Working at height experience preferred but not essential as training can be provided.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Hours are Sunday to Thursday 9pm - 5am/6am</strong></p> <p><strong>Salary: </strong>£12.99/per hour</p> <p>Weekly Pay</p> <p>Online payslips</p> <p>Workplace pension contribution</p> <p>28 days annual leave (pro rata) inclusive of bank holidays</p> <p><em>Due to the high volume of applications, we will only contact suitable candidates.</em></p>
