What you'll do

  • Develop and enhance Back End services supporting authentication and MFA platforms.
  • Design, build and maintain RESTful APIs using TypeScript, Node.js and NestJS.
  • Deploy, monitor and support applications within AWS using Infrastructure as Code.
  • Maintain production services, including software updates, database migrations and operational support.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and continuous improvements to engineering practices.
  • Collaborate with product, security and engineering teams to deliver secure, reliable technical solutions.

What you bring

  • Strong commercial experience with TypeScript, Node.js and NestJS or Express, with a proven track record of building RESTful APIs.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services including ECS, Lambda, CloudFront, S3 and Secrets Manager, alongside Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation, CDK or Terraform.
  • Good understanding of authentication technologies such as OAuth 2.0 and JWT, with exposure to identity or MFA platforms (eg Auth0 or Transmit Security) being advantageous.
  • Experience using Git, CI/CD tools (such as GitHub Actions), and writing unit and integration tests with Jest.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture, API gateways (such as Kong), and databases including Aurora PostgreSQL or DynamoDB would be beneficial.
  • Familiarity with security principles including IAM, encryption and networking, alongside observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, Honeycomb or Grafana.
