What the role involves
- You'll be the first point of contact for residents, property managers and building staff calling about emergency maintenance issues outside office hours. Anything from a lift breaking down to a heating failure affecting an entire block to a flood in a communal area.
- Your job is to listen, triage what's happening, decide what needs to happen next and own it through to resolution.
- You'll join our team as an Out - of - Hours Response Coordinator, because that's exactly what you'll be.
- Initially, you'll focus on taking inbound calls and logging tickets on our system. As your knowledge and confidence grow, you'll move into making decisions, instructing contractors and managing live situations through to resolution.
- Within 12 months, you'll be fully actioning tickets end-to-end. No two shifts are the same and you'll be trusted to handle whatever issues present.
- You'll work closely with colleagues across the UK, Ireland and our fantastic team in Bangalore, India.
- Are a confident, clear communicator on the phone and in writing?
- Can you stay composed when a caller is stressed or the situation is urgent?
- Can you make sound decisions under pressure and take responsibility for the outcome?
- Do you have good attention to detail and take pride in doing things properly?
- Are you reliable, self-motivated and comfortable working independently?
- Do you have some experience in a customer-facing or call handling roles? (Useful but not essential)
- A fully remote role for the most part with structured training and real support from day one , including occasional in-office or team training days as part of your development
- A clear progression pathway, starting with call handling and triage, moving through to full end-to-end ticket ownership, with the knowledge and competence of an out-of-hours property manager
