Part-time Office Manager/Front of House

We are working with a friendly and well-established architectural practice based in Clapham, South West London, who are looking for a proactive and personable Office Manager / Front of House professional to join their small and close-knit team.

*This role is 5 x hours a day, 5 days a week, working from their Clapham Office*

This is a lovely opportunity for someone who enjoys being the person who keeps an office running smoothly. As the main administrative support within the practice, you will take ownership of the day-to-day running of the office and become a key point of contact for clients, visitors and the wider team.

The Role

The successful candidate will be organised, approachable and confident, with the ability to juggle a variety of responsibilities and work independently.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting clients, visitors, contractors and consultants
  • Managing incoming post and phone calls
  • Keeping physical and digital filing systems organised and up to date
  • Organising meetings and preparing the boardroom
  • Managing the office calendar
  • Raising and creating invoices
  • Managing multiple email accounts
  • Handling new enquiries and directing them appropriately
  • Providing general administrative support to the Directors
  • Assisting with inbox and diary management
  • Booking travel when required
  • Helping to ensure the office runs smoothly on a day-to-day basic
About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Proactive, organised and naturally takes ownership
  • Friendly, personable and confident dealing with people
  • Comfortable working independently and managing a varied workload
  • Experienced in an office administration or office management environment
  • Confident answering phones and welcoming clients and visitors
  • Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail
  • A good communicator with a professional and approachable manner
  • Looking specifically for part-time hours and able to commit to the agreed working pattern
  • Within an easy commute of Clapham
  • Familiar with Adobe/InDesign – desirable but not essential
