Personal Assistant to Disabled Young Woman

Summary:
26-year-old woman with ME and POTS looking for a friendly, reliable Personal Assistant to support with activities and outings. No prior medical or caring experience necessary.

Job involves:

  • Driving and accompanying to appointments, shops, social activities
  • Assembling and pushing wheelchair
  • Helping with hobbies and activities at home
  • Organising medication
  • Tidying bedroom
  • Preparing food
  • Doing medical admin
  • Helping wash hair (optional - applicants who do not want to do personal care should apply anyway)

Requirements:

  • Driving licence and own car
  • Fluent in English
  • Comfortable around cats (client has one friendly adult male cat)

Preferences:

  • Aged 24-38
  • Female or non-binary

Hours:

Initially looking for one visit per week. Day of the week is flexible to fit yours and client’s schedules. Frequency and duration of visits could increase over time.

About client:

Worked in academia before becoming ill. Now lives with parents and enjoys arts and crafts, audiobooks, and cryptic crosswords.

Pay: £20.00-£30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3.0 – 8.0 per week
