About the role:

The Pharmacist Prescriber sits in HeliosX’s Clinical Team, with responsibility for remotely evaluating and assessing asynchronous patient consultations and issuing prescriptions when satisfied that the requirements have been met for safe supply.

HeliosX launched our weight loss offering at the start of 2024 through 2 brands, MedExpress and Levity. We have quickly established ourselves as on of the UK\'s leading provider of GLP1s for weight loss. Our impressive growth last year is largely due to this success and we project this to continue into 2025 and beyond.

We are looking for Prescribers to join us working daytime and evening hours from Thursday to Monday, with essential weekend coverage, as we strive to offer maximum flexibility to support our customers.

What you\'ll be doing:

• Work remotely using our secure Electronic Health Records System (EHR system) and ensure all information is treated confidentially.
• In accordance with the protocols set by HeliosX’s Medical team, evaluate patient consultations and determine whether patients should be prescribed treatment.
• Request further information from patients where needed to safely prescribe.
• Prescribe treatments to patients within the limit of your competencies.
• Complete concise and comprehensive notes on patient records where required.
• Complete own work efficiently and in accordance with the designated rota, supporting the team to meet customer demand.
• Provide timely feedback on any issues preventing the delivery of work.
• Follow provided operational protocols, for example the correct use of on-hold or rejection codes.
• Engage in team meetings & training sessions.
• Keep up to date with provided training materials and information.
• Keep up to date with prescribing requirements to maintain Independent Prescriber rights.
• Keep up to date with any independent training required to ensure clinical competency in respective areas of prescribing.
• Support patients by recommending methods for managing side effects as well as general clinical advice regarding weight loss treatments via email and telephone calls.
• Process GP letters by updating patient records with relevant information.
• Complete Patient Safety Incident (PSI) forms when appropriate to safety net patients.

What you\'ll bring to the role:

• GPhC registration
• 6+ months of pharmacy experience
• Experience prescribing GLP1s would be a big plus
• Experience working in a telemedicine environment
• Experience prescribing according to pathways/protocols
• Experience using Customer Service tools such as Zendesk
• Excellent attention to detail
