THE ROLE AT A GLANCE

We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Product Training Manager to become the vital link between our unique travel products and the global teams who sell and market them. Based in our Central London (Victoria) office, you will be the Travel Experiences leading expert on product education, responsible for crafting and delivering world-class training that brings the story of our holidays to life.

Your core mission will be to empower our global sales teams, contact centres, and external marketing agencies with compelling narratives and deep product knowledge. Acting as the primary conduit between the Travel Experiences team and our commercial functions, you will ensure a consistent, powerful message is delivered across all channels.

This role also involves shaping the onboarding experience for new departmental staff, ensuring they are seamlessly integrated into our teams, systems, and culture. The ideal candidate is a creative and influential educator with a passion for travel, skilled at building global relationships and enabling the success of commercial teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Development Training

  • Develop Expert Product Training for the Sales Teams: From your position within the Product department, you will craft learning experiences that reveal the story behind our holidays. You will empower our sales and contact centre teams by teaching them to compellingly articulate our unique selling points, from our core design philosophy to the incredible quality of our Travel Directors.
  • Develop Bespoke Training Materials: Design and create engaging and effective training collateral for our sales managers and call centre teams, with a sharp focus on new product launches and updates.
  • Champion a Train-the-Trainer Model: Act as the central conduit for product knowledge by developing and delivering \'train-the-trainer\' programmes. You will empower regional sales managers and call centre leaders with the skills and materials to effectively train their own teams, ensuring knowledge is scaled consistently and accurately.
  • Strategic Training Delivery: Drive and implement the global strategy for how product training is delivered, ensuring a consistent and high-quality learning experience across all regions using a blend of virtual, in-person, and digital methods.
  • Central Training Coordination: Act as the main point of contact for the Travel Experiences department, coordinating all product training requirements, from scheduling and logistics to participant communication and feedback.
  • Global Collaboration: Partner closely with L&D counterparts in other global regions to share best practices, align on strategy, and co-develop training content.

Onboarding & Training

  • Design and implement Onboarding programs. Develop and execute comprehensive departmental onboarding plans for all new TE.T.O staff, ensuring seamless integration into the organisation\'s culture, processes, and systems (Tropics, Airtable, Salesforce).
  • Lead process and system improvements. Initiate and drive new processes and systems to enhance efficiency and establish best practice across the department.
  • Deliver role specific training. Facilitate structured training sessions tailored to TE.T.O processes and systems, supporting new hires throughout their onboarding.
  • Maintain and train SOP\'s. Deliver ongoing training to uphold departmental SOP\'s ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to best practices across the department.
  • Develop and Manage Training Resources. Create, maintain, and regularly update onboarding materials, training guides, accurate training records, and essential documentation to ensure consistent, high-quality learning experiences across the department.
  • Continuously Improve Onboarding Experience. Collect and analyse feedback from new hires and their managers to identify opportunities for enhancing the TE.T.O onboarding process and overall employee integration.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive training strategy aligned with the specific needs of the TE.T.O functions and overall business objectives.
  • Promote and facilitate the effective utilisation of the in-house TTC training schedule, ensuring staff members are aware of and actively participating in relevant programmes.
  • Identify and Address Training Needs. Collaborate closely with the Regional TTC Learning and Development Manager to identify specialised training gaps within the TE.T.O teams and implement tailored solutions that support continuous skill development and performance improvement.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of TE.T.O training programmes through feedback and performance analysis, making necessary adjustments to optimise results.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven Product Training Experience: Demonstrable experience in a product-focused training, sales enablement, or L&D role. A background in the travel, tourism, or hospitality sector is highly advantageous.
  • Expertise in Adult Learning: A strong theoretical and practical understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies to create effective and engaging learning experiences.
  • Exceptional Communication & Storytelling: World-class presentation and interpersonal skills, with a distinct ability to translate complex product features into compelling narratives that drive commercial success.
  • Strategic Project Management: A highly organised and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to manage multiple, concurrent training initiatives on a global scale.
  • Collaborative & Influential: The ability to work independently while also building strong, collaborative relationships with diverse internal teams and external agency partners.
