Join the Team at Cord Restaurant

Cord Restaurant is seeking an enthusiastic, professional, and customer-focused Receptionist to become the first point of contact for our guests. As the face of our restaurant, you will play a key role in creating a warm and memorable first impression while ensuring the smooth operation of our front-of-house reception area. Previous experience as receptionist essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests with a friendly, professional, and positive attitude.
  • Manage restaurant reservations using the booking system. (Seven rooms, Open table and Fork)
  • Answer telephone calls, emails, and customer enquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Coordinate guest seating and waiting lists while working closely with the restaurant management and service team.
  • Provide accurate information about menus, opening hours, special events, and promotions.
  • Handle customer requests, feedback, and minor complaints professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary.
  • Maintain an organized and welcoming reception area at all times.
  • Assist with private dining and event bookings.
  • Process gift voucher enquiries and other administrative tasks as required.
  • Ensure guest information and reservations are handled confidentially and accurately.
  • Support the management team with general front-of-house administration.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a receptionist, host/hostess, or in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
  • Comfortable using reservation and point-of-sale systems (training will be provided if required).
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve guest concerns professionally.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
