Regional Sales Executive - EE and Baltics

Description

Enterprise Account Executive, Eastern Europe

VAST Data | Poland preferred (Warsaw, Kraków or remote in Poland) | Covering Eastern Europe and the Baltics

VAST Data is looking for a seller to take Eastern Europe forward.

The groundwork in this region is done. There is a VAST solutions engineer on the ground in Poland, partner and distribution relationships are in place, and the wider EMEA go to market is proven. What has not happened yet is someone going out and winning enterprise accounts directly.

That is the job. Partners give you leverage in this territory, they do not do the selling for you.

If you have spent the last few years selling data platforms into Eastern Europe and watching the AI infrastructure conversation happen somewhere else, this is the seat where it happens here.

Who we are

VAST Data is the data platform company for the AI era. We build the software infrastructure that captures, catalogs, refines, enriches and protects enormous datasets, then makes them available for real-time analysis, AI training and inference across data center, edge and cloud.

We were built to take the cost and the complexity out of AI infrastructure, and the market has responded.

"VAST's data management vision is the future of the market."

Forbes

Our crew are called VASTronauts. They are hired for skill and judgement, given real ownership, and expected to make market impact rather than fill a seat.

The territory

Early stage, but not from zero.

    • Poland is the anchor market, with Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and the Baltics around it. The region is open, and there is groundwork already in place for you to build on.

    A channel that exists.

    • Partner and distribution relationships are established. Your job is to sell alongside them into named accounts, not to manage them and wait.

    Pre-sales beside you.

    • A VAST SE is already based in Poland and will work with you from day one.

    Real air cover.

    • EMEA leadership, marketing and partner functions are in place and will show up for your deals.

    Room to define it.

The account map and the go to market for the region are still yours to shape.

    What you will be doing

    • Winning new enterprise business across Eastern Europe, with Poland as the anchor market, and personally carrying the number
    • Prospecting into large accounts and getting to the people who sign, rather than waiting for partner-sourced leads
    • Working with resellers, integrators and distributors to add reach and credibility to deals you are driving
    • Running full cycle sales, from first meeting through optional proof of concept to close, aligned to how your customers actually buy
    • Building proposals and business cases that connect the VAST platform to a measurable customer outcome, not a feature list
    • Staying in the account after the sale, so that the first deal becomes the second and third

    Requirements

    What you will bring

    Essential

    • Seven or more years selling enterprise technology direct, with a consistent record of beating quota
    • Evidence that you personally source and close new business. This role is not a partner management seat
    • Credibility selling data platforms, analytics or AI infrastructure. Data warehouse, lakehouse, streaming, database and data management backgrounds are as welcome here as storage
    • The ability to frame a data problem as a business case, not a capacity or performance spec
    • Accounts you can call on directly, plus the judgement to know when a partner adds value to a deal and when they do not
    • Experience selling at an early stage in a market, and the self sufficiency that requires
    • The ability to hold both the business conversation and the technical one
    • Fluent Polish and English

    Helpful, not essential

    • Familiarity with NFS, object storage and enterprise computing architectures
    • A mix of large company discipline and startup pace in your background
    • Existing relationships in the AI, research, financial services or service provider segments in the region
    • Salesforce fluency

We would rather see a strong seller who can learn the technology than a technical specialist who cannot open a door. If you meet most of the essentials, apply.

    What we offer

    • A region with real headroom and no internal competition for accounts
    • Equity in a private company at a stage where it still means something
    • Employment through our international employer of record, with a package built around the local market
    • Direct access to the leadership team, including the founders, who take customer calls in this region
