An incredible new job opportunity has arisen for an experienced Childrens Home Registered Manager to open, establish and lead a small sized childrens home located in the Derby area<br><br>This will be an Ofsted:regulated childrens home providing focused care for a child with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD)<br><br>**To be considered for this position you must hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare + Minimum 3 years experience in a residential childcare setting with 2+ years at supervisory/Deputy/management level**<br><br><strong>As The Manager Your Key Responsibilities Include<br><br></strong><ul><li> Oversee the Ofsted registration and successful launch of the solo home</li><li> Recruit, develop, and lead a small, dedicated team with a therapeutic and child:centred approach</li><li> Establish a nurturing and structured environment tailored to the individual needs of one child</li><li> Maintain high standard of safeguarding and compliance with Childrens Homes Regulations and Ofsted expectations</li><li> Build strong relationships with local authorities, external professionals, and families</li><li> Embed a culture of reflection, stability and care that priorities the long:term outcomes of the child<br><br></li></ul>The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:<br><br><ul><li> Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a childrens residential setting (EBD/solo care preferred)</li><li> Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and Ofsted inspection frameworks</li><li> A resilient, compassionate leader who can establish a positive culture from the outset</li><li> A commitment to therapeutic, trauma:informed care and improving outcomes for children</li><li> Must be able to speak and understand English to a good standard for effective communication, record:keeping and safeguarding the wellbeing of those you will be supporting<br><br></li></ul>The successful Manager will receive an excellent salary of GBP50,000 : GBP60,000 per annum. This exciting position is a permanent full time role working 40 hours from 9am:5pm.
