Darcy\'s Fish & Chips is a beloved local fish and chip takeaway, renowned for our fresh ingredients and friendly service. We are looking for a customer-focused and energetic server to join our team, providing excellent service while maintaining high standards of quality in the restaurant.

Job Description:

We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic restaurant and bar Server to serve customers, take orders, and ensure the restaurant operates smoothly. You will play a key role in providing excellent customer service, preparing orders efficiently, and maintaining cleanliness in a high paced, high energy restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers with a positive and friendly attitude
  • Take orders accurately and provide recommendations as needed
  • Serve food to tables and deliver great service throughout their dining experience
  • Make hot and cold drinks from the bar to standards
  • Operate the till and handle cash and card payments
  • Maintain cleanliness in the front of the house and serving areas
  • Monitor stock levels for items like condiments and packaging materials
  • Assist kitchen staff when needed and ensure smooth service during busy periods
  • Comply with health and safety regulations

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a takeaway or fast-food setting is preferred but not essential
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
  • A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
