<strong>Royal Mail Parcel Sorter – Stoke Parcel Sorting Centre<br> <br> Coach Transport from Wolverhampton City Centre<br> <br> Pertemps is supporting Royal Mail with warehouse recruitment at Stoke Parcel Sorting Centre.<br> <br> This is a temporary, hands-on role within a busy parcel operation, with additional shifts potentially available during busier periods. <br> <br> Job Role:<br> <br> As a Parcel Sorter, you will work as part of a busy team handling parcels and mail within the sorting centre. <br> <br> Key Responsibilities:<br> <br> <br> </strong><br><ul><li><strong>Unloading mail and parcels from vehicles.</strong></li><ul><li><strong>Moving parcels and mail through the sorting centre.</strong></li><li><strong>Sorting letters, parcels and other postal items.</strong></li><li><strong>Loading and moving mail bags and parcels.</strong></li><li><strong>Ensuring items are handled safely and efficiently.</strong></li><li><strong>Working to tight deadlines in a busy environment.</strong></li><li><strong>Moving between different tasks as required during your shift.</strong></li><li><strong>Working effectively as part of a team.</strong></li><li><strong>Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment.</strong></li></ul></ul><strong>The role is physically demanding and involves being on your feet for most of the shift.<br> <br> You must be comfortable with:<br> <br> <br> </strong><br><ul><li><strong>Pushing trolleys weighing up to 25kg.</strong></li><ul><li><strong>Lifting and moving mail bags weighing up to 11kg.</strong></li><li><strong>Standing and walking for extended periods.</strong></li><li><strong>Working in a fast-paced warehouse/sorting environment.</strong></li><li><strong>Repeated lifting, moving and sorting of parcels and mail.</strong></li></ul></ul><strong>Working Hours: <br> <br> You will be required to work at least 5 shifts/ week (Monday to Sunday) on one shift;<br> <br> Morning Shift – 6am to 2pm -  £15.14ph<br> <br> Afternoon Shift – 2pm to 10pm - £15.14ph<br> <br> Night Shift – 10pm to 6am - £16.44ph<br> <br>  <br> <br> Paid Travel Time:<br> <br> You will receive 2 hours of paid travel time per shift, paid at your shift pay rate;<br> <br> </strong><br><ul><li><strong>1 hour travelling to the site</strong></li><ul><li><strong>1 hour travelling back to Wolverhampton</strong></li></ul></ul><strong><br> Important Information:<br> Before proceeding with your application, please ensure that:<br> <br> <br> </strong><br><ul><li><strong>You can commit to the assignment from the expected start date until the end of the assignment.</strong></li><ul><li><strong>You are flexible to work across the required shift patterns.</strong></li><li><strong>You can work weekends when required.</strong></li><li><strong>You are comfortable working additional shifts where required.</strong></li><li><strong>You are physically able to undertake the duties described above.</strong></li><li><strong>You can travel by the provided coach from Wolverhampton City Centre to the Stoke Parcel Sorting Centre.</strong></li></ul></ul><strong>Please click 'Apply' and one of the team will be in touch, alternatively please call 01384 211 181 option 3</strong>
