Sales Manager – Retail Risk Events Full Time | Home Based / Travel UK & International –£40,000 Basic | Uncapped Commission | OTE £60,000, with £80,000 achievable for a strong performer.
Who We Are
Retail Knowledge is the team behind the Retail Risk events brand — a specialist network of conferences, awards ceremonies and exclusive events built for the loss prevention, security and retail risk community. We run events across the UK and internationally, and we've built a genuine reputation in this space over more than two decades.
We're small, focused and we punch well above our weight. The Retail Risk conference series is attended by more retail risk and loss prevention professionals, around the world, than any other.
We're looking for a salesperson who wants to own something — not manage a patch within a large corporate machine.
The Role
This is a B2B sales role at the heart of a growing events portfolio. You'll be selling exhibition space, sponsorship packages and tailored commercial solutions. And you will be selling them to solution providers, technology firms, security companies and service providers who want to get in front of senior retail risk professionals. You'll manage the full cycle: prospecting, pitching, closing and making sure clients come back for the next event. There's no hand-holding here. You'll be expected to hit the ground running, manage your own pipeline and bring the kind of energy that wins business.
For this role it is envisaged that you will be UK or Western European based.
What You'll Be Doing
- Generating new business through outbound prospecting and relationship development
- Selling exhibition stand packages, sponsorships and tailored commercial solutions across our events portfolio
- Managing the full sales cycle from first call to signed contract
- Growing existing accounts and turning one-event clients into long-term partners
- Building and maintaining a strong, well-forecasted pipeline
- Writing compelling proposals that clearly communicate value
- Attending events onsite and securing rebookings on the day
- Working closely with a small team, where your contribution is visible and valued
- Proven B2B sales track record in events, exhibitions, sponsorship, media or a related commercial environment
- Someone who can open doors and close them
- Strong communicator — confident on the phone and credible in a Teams meeting
- Self-starter who doesn't need to be managed into productivity
- Commercially sharp, with good instincts for building the right package for the right client
- Native or strong business-level English required
Why Retail Knowledge?
You won't be one of 30 salespeople. You'll be central to what we do. The commission structure is real, the events are respected and the community we serve is genuinely engaged.
Retail Knowledge is an equal opportunity employer. We recruit on merit and fit. Everything else, we can teach.
