You’ll also develop and support integrations, contribute to technical solution design and take ownership of assigned development work, ensuring solutions are delivered to a high standard and in line with agreed development practices.</p><p>Alongside development, you’ll contribute to BAU support, technical investigations, releases and continuous improvement, helping to maintain and enhance the Salesforce platform as our needs evolve. You’ll work closely with Functional Consultants, Business Analysts, Administrators and the Lead Salesforce Developer to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.</p><p>This is a hands-on development role where you’ll have the opportunity to work independently on complex development tasks, while also sharing your knowledge and supporting the development of less experienced members of the team. It’s an exciting opportunity to make a direct contribution to the continued development of Salesforce at Arden University and the services it provides to our students and colleagues.</p><hr><p><strong>About You:</strong></p><p><span>If you're passionate about Salesforce development, thrive on solving complex technical challenges, and want to lead the delivery of enterprise-scale solutions in a collaborative and purpose-driven environment, we'd love to hear from you</span></p><p><em>Essential requirements:</em></p><ul><li><p><strong>Salesforce Platform Developer I and Platform Developer II</strong> certifications.</p></li><li><p><strong>Salesforce Platform Administrator or Platform App Builder</strong> certification.</p></li><li><p><strong>5+ years’ professional experience in Salesforce development</strong>, including designing, developing and maintaining Salesforce solutions.</p></li><li><p>Strong experience developing with <strong>Apex</strong>, including classes, triggers, asynchronous processing and unit testing.</p></li><li><p>Strong experience developing <strong>Lightning Web Components (LWC)</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Strong knowledge of <strong>SOQL and SOSL</strong>, including query optimisation.</p></li><li><p>Strong experience with <strong>Salesforce Flow and declarative automation</strong>, with sound judgement about when to use configuration versus custom code.</p></li><li><p>Strong understanding of the <strong>Salesforce data model, object relationships, security and sharing model</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Experience developing and supporting <strong>integrations between Salesforce and third-party systems</strong>, including REST/SOAP APIs and common integration patterns.</p></li><li><p>Experience using <strong>Git and version control</strong>, including branching and pull request workflows, and working with <strong>Salesforce DX</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Experience with <strong>CI/CD and Salesforce deployment pipelines</strong>, using tools such as Bitbucket, Copado, Gearset or similar.</p></li><li><p>Experience managing <strong>Salesforce releases and deployments</strong> between environments.</p></li><li><p>Experience conducting and responding to <strong>code reviews</strong>, working to agreed development standards and quality practices.</p></li><li><p>Experience working within an <strong>Agile delivery environment</strong>, including sprint planning, backlog refinement and effort estimation.</p></li><li><p>Experience resolving <strong>BAU incidents and complex technical issues</strong>, including systematic troubleshooting, debugging and technical investigation.</p></li><li><p>Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture across <strong>data, security, automation and integration</strong> layers, including bulkification, governor limits and common design patterns.</p></li><li><p>Understanding of <strong>release management, version control and deployment processes</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Understanding of <strong>data governance, GDPR and information security best practice</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Ability to translate business requirements into <strong>scalable technical solutions</strong> and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.</p></li></ul><p><em>Desirable requirements:</em></p><ul><li><p>Experience working within the <strong>Higher Education sector</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Experience working with <strong>large datasets and data migration</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Knowledge and practical experience of <strong>JavaScript, HTML and CSS</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Experience working with <strong>middleware or third-party integration platforms</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Experience <strong>mentoring, coaching or supporting junior developers</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Knowledge and experience of <strong>Salesforce Service Cloud and Sales Cloud</strong>.</p></li><li><p><strong>Salesforce Sales Cloud Consultant or Service Cloud Consultant</strong> certification.</p></li><li><p><strong>Salesforce Agentforce Specialist</strong> certification.</p></li></ul><hr><p><strong>Why Arden:</strong></p><p>At Arden, you will become a part of a passionate and dedicated team who are committed to removing unnecessary barriers to learning and making education more accessible.
