<p><strong>Scheduler – Help Keep Our Repairs Service Running Smoothly</strong></p><p>Are you highly organised, customer-focused and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment? Do you enjoy coordinating people, solving problems and keeping services running efficiently?</p><p>As a <strong>Scheduler</strong> at Peabody, you'll play a vital role in ensuring repairs and maintenance work is delivered efficiently, helping us provide an excellent service to our residents every day.</p><p>This is a customer-focused, highly collaborative role where you'll work closely with operatives, subcontractors, supervisors and customers to schedule work, manage changing priorities and ensure repairs are completed safely, efficiently and on time.</p><p><strong>What you'll do</strong></p><ul><li>Coordinate and schedule operatives and subcontractors to ensure repairs and maintenance works are delivered efficiently</li><li>Liaise with Managers, Supervisors and operational teams to maximise productivity and resource utilisation</li><li>Review asbestos information before issuing works and understand basic asbestos survey results</li><li>Work collaboratively with fellow Schedulers to reduce travel time and operational downtime</li><li>Update operational systems and spreadsheets to schedule works, record progress, capture costs and monitor performance</li><li>Maintain excellent communication with operational teams, customers and contractors throughout the repair journey</li><li>Reschedule appointments when required, ensuring customers are informed promptly and alternative arrangements are agreed</li><li>Support the management and resolution of complaints, disputes and recalls in a proactive and professional manner</li><li>Ensure emergency repairs are attended within service level targets, including a four-hour response window when required</li><li>Assist with cross-training and knowledge sharing to provide effective cover and support across the wider team</li><li>Promote safe working practices and contribute to a positive, customer-focused working environment</li></ul><p><strong>What you'll need</strong></p><ul><li>Experience in a scheduling, planning, coordination or administrative role within a fast-paced environment</li><li>Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines</li><li>Good IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Office and operational systems</li><li>Excellent customer service and communication skills</li><li>Experience coordinating the day-to-day activities of operational teams, contractors or field-based staff</li><li>Ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues, customers and contractors</li><li>Good geographical knowledge and an understanding of efficient workforce deployment</li><li>Ability to take ownership of issues and see them through to resolution</li><li>A positive attitude towards change and continuous improvement</li><li>GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths, or comparable experience</li><li>Experience within repairs, maintenance, housing or construction scheduling environments would be highly advantageous</li></ul><p><strong>Who you are</strong></p><ul><li>Customer-focused, delivering service that is easy, reliable and empathetic</li><li>Organised and able to manage your time effectively</li><li>Positive, proactive and solution-focused</li><li>A strong communicator who works well with a wide range of stakeholders</li><li>Calm under pressure and able to adapt to changing priorities</li><li>Supportive of colleagues and willing to share knowledge and best practice</li><li>Motivated to achieve excellent outcomes for customers and the wider team</li><li>Committed to maintaining high standards of health and safety</li></ul><p><strong>Please read before applying</strong></p><p><strong>Peabody does not provide sponsorship as a licensed UK employer</strong>.</p><p>We reserve the right to close this advert early should we receive a high volume of suitable applications.</p><p><strong>Interviews will be held in person in Houghton Regis on 14th August </strong></p><p>If this sounds like the right opportunity for you and you'd like to be part of Peabody, we'd love to hear from you.
