Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking to speak with Scribe Invigilators who are interested in supporting secondary schools across South Gloucestershire during exam seasons.

We are looking for reliable individuals who have good proficiency in both written and spoken English and are confident accurately recording students' answers during examinations.

This is a speculative opportunity for candidates interested in both full-time and part-time seasonal work during GCSE, A-Level and other examination periods.

The Opportunity

As a Scribe Invigilator, you will support students during examinations by accurately recording their answers as they dictate them.

You will need to follow the school's examination procedures carefully, maintain confidentiality and ensure that the student's responses are recorded accurately without influencing or prompting them.

Previous experience as an exam invigilator or scribe is beneficial but not essential, as appropriate guidance will be provided.

Your Responsibilities
  • Acting as a scribe during GCSE, A-Level and other examinations.
  • Accurately recording students' answers as dictated.
  • Following examination and safeguarding procedures.
  • Maintaining confidentiality throughout examinations.
  • Remaining focused and attentive for the duration of each exam.
  • Ensuring you do not prompt, influence or assist students beyond your role.
  • Working professionally alongside Exams Officers and school staff.
  • Arriving promptly and being prepared for allocated examination sessions.
