About the role

As a Security Design and Implementation Professional, you will work within the Security and Architecture Design team delivering Cryptographic solutions.


• You will work within the Security and Architecture Design team delivering cryptographic solutions to internal BT customers, and potentially enterprise customers in the future.
• Learn to become a subject matter expert on Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and cryptographic solutions
• You will directly improve

What you’ll be doing

• Configure and support the Cryptographic platform devices across appliances, virtual machines, firmware, and software.
• Perform network health checks and validation activities.
• Provide 1st and 2nd line support for deployed solutions, until passed to Operational Teams
• Use Linux skills for troubleshooting, scripting, and system checks.

Essential Skills / Experience

• Come from a mathematical or computer science background, either at University or in Industry.
• Have some basic understanding of relevant PKI & Crypto skills, and demonstrate the willingness and capability to learn.
• Have Network Security knowledge and understanding.
• Have “Hands-on” skills with Operating systems, specifically Linux distributions

Desirable Skills / Experience

• Hold, or be working towards, an Industry recognised Technical Security certification.
• Understand the business impact of poor cryptographic service design and operations on organisational performance and brand
• Have some “Hands-on” skills with scripting languages, specifically Bash & Ansible
