Security Officer

Job Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring activities through surveillance systems, conducting patrols, and implementing loss prevention measures. Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorised access and identify potential security risks.
  • Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems to observe activity and respond promptly to any suspicious behaviour or incidents.
  • Enforce security policies by controlling access points, verifying identification, and managing visitor logs.
  • Assist in loss prevention efforts by observing for theft or vandalism and reporting any concerns immediately.
  • Respond swiftly to emergencies, including medical incidents, by providing first aid when necessary until professional help arrives.
  • Write detailed incident reports accurately documenting any security breaches or unusual occurrences.
  • Maintain a visible presence around the site to reassure staff and visitors of their safety.

Experience

  • Prior experience in security or related fields is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
  • Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with loss prevention techniques is desirable.
  • Certification in first aid or emergency response is a plus but not mandatory; training will be available for successful candidates.
  • Strong observational skills with an eye for detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required for effective reporting and interaction with team members and visitors.
