Security Officer - Various Shifts - Days, Nights & Weekends

CIS Security have an exciting opportunity available for a Security Officer for one of London’s top estates spanning from Regents Street through to St James to Kensington Palace.

We are looking for someone who will demonstrate and deliver high quality guarding and customer service to both our clients and service partners. Responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the newly refurbished New Zealand House. You will be expected to conduct regular patrols, monitor security systems, and respond appropriately to any security incidents.

  • Position: Security Officer
  • Location: London (SW1Y)
  • Pay Rate: £14.80 per hour
  • Shifts: Various Shift Patterns Available Days, Nights & Weekends

Job Requirements:

  • SIA Licence required
  • Corporate Security & customer service experience for at least 3 years
  • High level of customer services skills, with a friendly, professional, courteous and outgoing character
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong IT skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • High level of discipline, taking pride in your appearance, ensuring immaculate presentation, excellent timekeeping and conduct
  • Flexible in the approach to daily duties and additional events when held on site
  • Able to work as part of a team as well as on your own
  • First Aid qualification & CCTV SIA Licence are desirable
  • Be able to provide all the documentation and vetting information requested

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service to Customers and visitors, including assisting with inquiries and requests
  • Ensuring Assignment Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to and always followed
  • Be calm under pressure and confident in dealing with confrontational situations in a calm and professional manner
  • Physically fit to complete regular patrols internally and externally and able to stand/walk during shift
  • Have the IT skills and ability to understand and use varied Access Control, CCTV and software platforms / integrated systems
  • To cover all positions on site, including Reception, Loading Bay and Control Room
  • Management and responsibility of the site, ensure all logs and key presses are up to date and audited.
  • Oversea any works on site, ensuring permits and approvals are in place, contractor sign in, access control and escorting, updating Customers and client of progress and ensuring safe working practices are maintained
  • Effective communication through Escalation processes, Report Writing, Daily Logs and emails.
  • Report any security incidents to the management team and assist with investigations as required
  • Monitoring and use of CCTV, Fire Alarms, Intruder and other electronic systems
  • The implementation of Health and Safety, Fire Regulations and other in - house safety/ environmental policies
  • Ensure the safety of Customers, visitors, contractors, staff and couriers who are working on, or require access to site
  • To assist in any other reasonable duties as required, including the redeployment to other sites on the portfolio if required
