Location:Home-based with regular visits to Virgin Atlantic’s Headquarters in Crawley andDelta Air Lines’ offices near LHR, plus travel within the UK, Europe, and theUSA as required. Reports to: Sales Manager, UK & Ireland – Delta AirLines
TheSenior Sales Account Executive (SAE) supports Joint Venture (JV) commercialperformance and partner engagement across the UK market in collaboration withVirgin Atlantic and Air France/KLM, Delta’s JV partners. The role workscross-functionally with Delta, Virgin Atlantic, and partner commercial teams tosupport revenue growth, market share performance, and customer engagementacross the UK Point of Sale.
Theposition requires strong commercial acumen, analytical capability, andconsultative relationship management skills to identify opportunities, supportJV initiatives, and enhance Delta’s market presence within the region. TheSpecialist will work collaboratively with key stakeholders across Delta, andVirgin Atlantic and Air France/KLM to support commercial objectives, improvepartner engagement, and contribute toward revenue performance goals.
Successin this role requires the ability to analyze market trends and salesperformance, build effective working relationships, and support initiativesthat positively impact business performance. Metrics of success include revenuecontribution, premium revenue performance, customer engagement, and support ofJV commercial priorities.
Primaryduties will include:
- In collaborationwith Virgin Atlantic, support actions to increase high yield revenue andmarket share within the UK market.
- Analyze localmarket trends, sales performance, competitive activity, and customerinsights to identify opportunities and provide commercial recommendationsto the business.
- Assist with thedevelopment and maintenance of performance reporting and market analysisto support commercial decision-making and identify opportunities acrossDelta-operated routes and JV services.
- Supportcross-functional initiatives across Delta and Virgin Atlantic that improvecommercial performance and strengthen JV cooperation.
- Build andmaintain effective working relationships with customer accounts, partnerstakeholders, and internal commercial teams to support business objectivesand partnership growth.
- Prepare anddeliver presentations, business updates, and commercial insights topartner teams and internal stakeholders.
- Liaise withdepartments at Delta headquarters including Pricing, Revenue Management,Network Planning, Marketing, and Sales Operations to support regionalcommercial initiatives and solutions.
- Facilitatetraining sessions for partner sales teams and customer accounts on Deltaproducts, policies, and services to strengthen confidence in sellingDelta.
- Regularlycommunicate relevant business updates, market intelligence, and productinformation to support awareness of Delta priorities andinitiatives.
- Represent Deltaat customer, partner, and industry events to support brand visibility andcustomer engagement within the UK market.
- Identifyadditional commercial opportunities across corporate, agency, and partnersales channels.
- Champion B2B andB2C customer feedback by identifying and supporting seam closureopportunities across the JV to improve customer experience.
- Support localand regional sales initiatives through collaboration with JV commercialand sales teams.
- Participate inspecialist or ad hoc commercial projects as required to support territoryand regional priorities.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
- Minimum of three years of airlineindustry commercial, sales, or analytical experience.
- Demonstrated ability to analyzesales performance, identify market opportunities, and support initiativesthat improve business results.
- Strong interpersonal,influencing, and business communication skills with the ability to workeffectively across multiple teams and organizations.
- Excellent written and verbalcommunication skills, including presentation delivery and stakeholderengagement.
- Strong proficiency in dataanalysis, organization, planning, negotiation, and time management.
- Ability to work independentlywhile managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced commercial environment.
- High proficiency in MicrosoftOffice applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Familiaritywith Salesforce and airline reservations systems preferred.
- Ability and willingness to travelextensively within the UK, Europe, and the United States.
- Comfortable working with varyinglevels across internal, partner, and JV organizations.
- Fluency in written and spokenEnglish required.
- Valid full UK driving licenserequired.
- Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, andpersonal data.
- Embraces diverse people,thinking, and styles.
- Possesses a high schooldiploma, GED, or high school equivalency.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
