We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Business Manager, Head of UK CMB Office.

The UK CMB Business Management team focuses on business planning, performance and governance to support the execution of CMB’s strategy. The team supports the Head of UK CMB in running the business, delivering a strong operating rhythm, and reporting clearly and consistently to internal and external stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the wider Business Management team to establish clear ways of working and division of activity, ensuring resources are focused on the highest value work and the team continues to develop through stretch opportunities.

In this role you’ll:

  • Support the Head of UK CMB and Head of Business Management through delivery of core business management outputs, including scorecards, the UK CMB dashboard and senior stakeholder reporting
  • Provide oversight of costs, controls and key governance processes, ensuring high-quality papers, effective action tracking and strong meeting preparation
  • Lead cross-functional coordination across strategic priorities, deep-dives, events and collaboration with product partners
  • Use digital and AI tools to improve insight, quality and efficiency, while coaching and developing junior team members to raise capability across the team
  • Provide day-to-day operational and strategic support to the Head of UK CMB, including briefing notes, talking points and scripts; ensure consistent, aligned and impactful positioning of UK CMB’s strategic story for internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide timely business insights to the Head of UK CMB and the CMB Operating Committee (OpCo), including client/market outlook, pipeline and competitor intelligence, support business reviews and performance discussions with senior leadership
  • Co-own the UK CMB dashboard and OpCo scorecards (financial and non-financial), including the Head of UK CMB scorecard
  • Oversee head office spend and support management to budget, providing transparency and challenge where required
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:  
  • Strong strategic understanding of CMB segments and products and how they translate into performance and client outcomes
  • High impact written and verbal communication skills, including producing compelling presentations, papers and senior updates
  • Strong attention to detail with confidence to challenge inputs across a range of stakeholders and seniorities
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills; able to build trusted relationships quickly
  • Strong planning, organisation and prioritisation skills; able to manage multiple workstreams at pace without loss of quality
  • Proactive mindset with a track record of improving ways of working and raising the bar on quality and efficiency
  • Confident user of AI tools to accelerate insight generation, draft and refine high-quality outputs, automate repeatable tasks, and improve decision support—while applying appropriate judgement, controls and confidentiality
  • Demonstrated ability (or clear potential) to manage, coach and develop junior team members, including delegating effectively, providing quality control, and building capability through feedback and on-the-job learning
