This role requires providing expert guidance on accounting and reporting process across diverse insurance segments, such as General Insurance, Life & Pensions, Insurance Brokers, and London Markets, encompassing technology, data management, and process optimisation.You will bring expertise in process optimisation, operating model design, and tech-enabled transformation, helping clients modernise accounting and reporting through automation, data and digital platforms.
The role will also involve supporting large-scale transformation programmes, including post-merger integration and cost optimisation initiatives.You'll work within a dedicated team, collaborating firm-wide to drive business development and establish Deloitte as a thought leader in this field.As an Insurance Senior Manager in our Finance Strategy practice, you will have the opportunity to deliver in the following areas: Direct and deliver impactful Insurance transformation projects for our global clients, guiding teams to exceptional results while providing expert finance advice.
Build and nurture strong relationships with senior client stakeholders, becoming their trusted advisor on all matters related to Insurance finance.
Play a pivotal role in expanding our insurance practice through thought leadership, knowledge sharing, team development, and identifying new market opportunities.
Partner with leading technology providers to develop and deliver tailored solutions for our clients.
Maintain a keen understanding of market trends and develop innovative Insurance finance solutions, establishing Deloitte as a thought leader.
Collaborate closely with senior leadership and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and knowledge sharing within the Insurance practice.At Deloitte, you'll have the opportunity to make a tangible impact on leading Insurance organisations, drive financial innovation, and build a rewarding career in a collaborative and supportive environment.Connect to your skills and professional experience EssentialSignificant experience within a consulting environment or finance transformation practice within an insurance organisation.Deep expertise in insurance financial reporting (e.g., IFRS 17, Solvency II, UK GAAP) and robust financial control frameworks.Broad knowledge of the Finance function and Finance operating models.Strong understanding of technology's role in finance transformation (e.g.
ERP).A strong understanding of the impact of AI on the Insurance industry and automation opportunities in accounting and reporting.Proven experience across General Insurance, Life & Pensions, Insurance Brokers and/or London Markets.Proven ability to identify and evaluate opportunities for process improvement across the Record to Report process.Experience in post-merger integration and/or large-scale, multi-year finance transformation programmes.Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence at all levels.Excellent communicator with the ability to articulate complex ideas and effectively manage key stakeholders.Proven ability to support leadership in the structuring and delivery of projects.Proven ability to support junior team members in person and remotely.Strong people management and development skills with a strong focus on team development.DesirableQualified ICAEW, ACCA or CIMA accountant.Connect to your business
