Due to significant business growth, we are actively seeking a highly accomplished Senior Manager to join our specialized Financial Services Corporate Tax team, focusing on Product & Operational Taxes. You will lead engagements with an incredibly diverse and prestigious client portfolio across the entire financial services sector, including leading banks, custodians, brokers, asset managers, alternative investors, wealth and hedge asset managers, and global institutional investors like pension and sovereign wealth funds.

As a Senior Manager, the role involves a strategic blend of advisory leadership, compliance oversight, and business development, with specific duties including:

  • Lead as a trusted expert by developing, maintaining, and applying cutting-edge technical knowledge across Product & Operational Taxes within the broader FS corporate tax landscape.
  • Drive and strategically manage key client relationships and projects, establishing yourself as a pivotal and sought-after point of contact for complex Product & Operational Taxes expertise.
  • Strategically collaborate and direct across KPMG's multidisciplinary teams, leveraging your deep understanding of client businesses to identify, shape, and deliver holistic Product & Operational Taxes and broader corporate tax solutions.
  • Spearhead the development and delivery of innovative, cutting-edge client propositions that address complex tax challenges related to financial products and operational structures.

We are seeking highly accomplished and commercially astute individuals who demonstrate the following leadership capabilities and technical depth:

  • Extensive and demonstrable deep technical expertise in Product & Operational Taxes within financial services, or broader corporate tax experience with a significant focus on financial products and operational structures. This is typically evidenced by relevant qualifications (e.g., CTA, ACA, ACCA, ATT, legal qualification) and/or significant practical experience gained in a senior industry or professional services role.
  • Extensive and proven practical experience in dealing with Product & Operational Taxes within a Financial Services corporate tax context, developed through senior roles in either industry or professional services.
  • A sophisticated and in-depth understanding of financial markets, key participants (e.g., banks, brokers, institutional investors, custodians, asset managers, private equity), and diverse financial products, with the ability to translate this into tax implications.
  • Deep expertise and proven application of knowledge in multiple specialist areas such as Corporate Tax advisory, International Tax principles, Withholding Tax implications for products, Transaction Tax, or Information Reporting (FATCA, CRS/AEOI) within a corporate tax context.
  • Exceptional strategic project management, highly effective delegation skills, proven coaching and mentoring abilities, and outstanding client-facing delivery skills at a senior level.
  • A demonstrable passion for leveraging emerging technologies to redefine tax solutions, coupled with the ability to proactively apply this knowledge to evolving tax regulations and drive innovative client solutions.
  • Strategic foresight in identifying and capitalizing on new tax developments to create compelling, commercially viable, and valuable client propositions.
