Overall Purpose of the Role To lead the team to achieve attendance, room night and revenue goals for Disneyland Paris (DLP), Walt Disney World (WDW) and booking, revenue and per diem goals for Disney Cruise Line (DCL)businesses for the UK, Ireland and other EMEA (O-EMEA) markets.For WDW and DCL UK and O-EMEA, lead the creative development, strategic planning and implementation of all paid media touch-points; search, social media, affiliates and CRM plans in collaboration with other DDI marketing teams.
For DLP UK, work in close collaboration with DLP central teams to develop the UK media, social, and CRM plan and influence Pan-European creative. Brief on local UK needs and follow up on the implementation of all campaigns.
Lead the integrated communication plan (ICP) process and development for all three brands.
Lead and coordinate all proposed initiatives as part of the annual operating plan (AOP) process.
Areas of Responsibility For WDW, DCL UK and O-EMEA
- In line with the communication strategy and marketing briefs developed by the marketing and sales strategy team, lead the creative development of all paid media, social and CRM assets, either leveraging and adapting existing creatives from the TWDC North America teams or developing local assets when relevant
- Act as a central point to collect, centralise, distribute and validate the use of all available creative assets to support WDW and DCL in the UK but also for other European markets
- Develop a holistic touchpoint strategy across paid and own media, social, affiliates and CRM, while working in an integrated way with all earned media touchpoints (PR, partnerships), trade marketing and digital teams
- Translate marketing strategies into effective media strategy leveraging market, competitive, consumer data/insights, media consumption evolution, target specificities and business and media learnings
- Lead the bought media development process (brief, planning, buying, reporting, audit) with local media agencies and drive implementation across all touch points, markets and brands
- Lead, define and implement the social editorial message calendar, ensuring strong collaboration with the PR team
- Develop a local strategy and plan to drive local WDW and DCL fan engagement to help promote both destinations
- Lead, define and implement affiliation strategy and plan as part of broader touchpoints strategy and implement program for DCL
- Define and implement relevant, compelling CRM strategy with the objective to retain and grow database for both brands
- Brief and implement all major campaigns across marketing and sales to ensure that development, briefing, co-ordination, launch and reviews are successfully implemented and remain consistent
- Set and manage the creative, media, social, affiliates and CRM budgets ensuring team are working within defined and allocated numbers
- Collaborate with the media team based in Paris to develop media strategy and plans for the UK and Ireland markets, including affiliates
- Work with the DLP advertising and creative teams to adapt pan-European assets for the UK and Ireland markets and brief them on UK specific needs when applicable
- Work with the DLP social team to implement pan-European editorial calendar and develop additional local social activations/content
- Implement pan-European CRM campaigns, following direction from the DLP CRM team, providing local input into content
- Responsible for leading ICP process and development with collaboration of other local marketing and sales teams, ensuring the overall plan is strong and compelling, delivering on strategies and is optimised (budget, timings)
- Retain an on-going link with sales teams across all three brands to ensure integration of marketing plans with sales and distribution initiatives and campaign execution
