PURPOSE OF JOB:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Microsoft M365 Hybrid Engineer to join our team, delivering exceptional hybrid cloud solutions to a diverse client base. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and supporting hybrid Microsoft 365 environments that integrate on-premises infrastructure with M365 cloud services across multiple client tenants. The ideal candidate will provide advanced technical support, resolve complex hybrid issues, and ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions tailored to each client’s needs.

As part of Bytes’ expanding division, following another year of significant growth, this role is critical to delivering client-centric hybrid M365 solutions. You will work closely with clients, providing technical expertise and fostering long-term relationships to support their digital transformation. The role demands a collaborative approach, working with internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, deploy, and manage hybrid Microsoft 365 environments for multiple clients, integrating on-premises infrastructure (e.g., Active Directory, Exchange Server) with M365 services (e.g., Exchange Online, Azure AD).
  • Provide 3rd line support for complex hybrid M365 issues escalated from 1st and 2nd line support teams, ensuring rapid resolution to meet client SLAs.
  • Configure and maintain hybrid connectivity solutions, such as Azure AD Connect, to ensure seamless identity synchronization and access management across client tenants.
  • Lead client migrations from on-premises systems to hybrid or fully cloud-based M365 environments, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance, security, and compliance of hybrid M365 deployments for multiple clients, implementing data loss prevention (DLP) and security policies tailored to client requirements.
  • Utilize Microsoft Partner Center and Lighthouse to manage multi-tenant environments, ensuring efficient client onboarding, licensing, and service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain client-specific documentation for hybrid configurations, incident resolutions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Automate repetitive tasks using PowerShell scripting to streamline management of hybrid M365 environments across multiple tenants.
  • Stay current with Microsoft 365 and Azure hybrid updates, advising clients on new features and best practices to enhance their hybrid deployments.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to clients and internal teams on hybrid M365 governance, security, and optimization strategies.

Professional Experience

  • Microsoft Certified: Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS-900)
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
  • Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300)
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert (MS-102)
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate (MS-700)

Other Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in a technical support or engineering role within an environment, focusing on Microsoft 365 and hybrid cloud solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of hybrid Microsoft 365 configurations, including Azure AD Connect, Exchange Hybrid, and SharePoint Hybrid, in a multi-tenant setting.
  • Strong experience with on-premises infrastructure, including Active Directory, Exchange Server, and Windows Server, integrated with M365 services.
  • Expertise in Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting in context, managing multiple client tenants.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and management of hybrid M365 environments across multiple clients.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 security and compliance features, including Entra ID, DLP, and multi-factor authentication, in hybrid and multi-tenant environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Partner Center and Lighthouse for managing multi-tenant M365 deployments and licensing.
  • Experience with client-facing communication, delivering technical solutions and training to diverse client stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V or VMware for on-premises infrastructure in client environments.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune) for device management in hybrid environments.
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 integration with M365 in hybrid scenarios for clients.
  • Understanding of Power Platform governance and administration in a multi-tenant context.
