As the leading consultant for the Department for Education (DfE), Mace delivers projects across all principal capital programmes including the Schools Re-building Programme (SRP), free schools, special educational needs, and further education (colleges). We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead high performing multidisciplinary teams on a wide portfolio of work covering new build, refurbishment, remodelling, and carbon reduction schemes. Mace provides key multidisciplinary services in-house including design, cost, information management, sustainability, and health and safety, offering clients an integrated end-to-end service with a single point of accountability. This client-facing role involves developing client strategy, initial design, contractor appointment, and contract management. Projects typically include BIM, off-site construction, soft landings, social value creation, and people and skills development. Nearly all projects require Net Zero Carbon (NZC) in operation and sometimes in construction. As Senior Project Manager, you will manage projects to achieve agreed outcomes on time, within budget, and to quality standards. You will provide day-to-day leadership, align teams to deliver objectives and KPIs, manage risks, change processes, and internal fee targets, ensuring collaboration and excellence throughout project delivery. Key responsibilities include managing project delivery from inception to completion, maintaining quality and milestones, managing budgets, risks, and stakeholder collaboration, fostering inclusivity, sustainability, and innovation while upholding Mace values. You will lead design teams, consultants, and stakeholders to drive collaboration and service excellence, oversee budgets, risks, and change management, and maintain accurate plans and documentation.
