As a Senior Risk Manager, you will act as the expert lead within the Risk team across the Hinkley Point C project, ensuring consistent application of the Risk strategy. You will provide technical leadership, implement risk-specific processes and frameworks, and adhere to governance arrangements to deliver timely and accurate risk and opportunity reporting. Managing contracts ranging from £10m to £500m, you will direct workload and provide guidance to Risk Analysts and Trainee Risk Analysts to support risk and project controls activities. Your responsibilities will include leading risk management for assigned programmes or areas, maintaining and assuring the quality of risk data within systems such as ARM, producing and delivering risk reports aligned with reporting cycles, and reviewing significant risks and opportunities impacting programme objectives. You will facilitate risk reviews, workshops, scenario planning, and opportunity assessments, analyse risk data to identify interdependencies, challenge assumptions to support decision-making, and ensure an up-to-date risk portfolio. Collaboration with Integrated Project Controls teams will be essential to support project schedules and cost estimates with robust risk information. You will also support programme teams and Tier 1 Contractors in assessing contractor-held and programme-level risks. Continuous improvement of risk management processes, reporting, and tools will be part of your remit, alongside producing insightful project controls and risk information for key governance forums. Additional duties include managing and validating Power BI dashboards, delivering risk management and software training to programme teams, project managers, and apprentices, and recommending further training to enhance risk management capabilities.
