Senior Staff Architect

Reporting to Head of Architecture Director, we are looking for an experienced Senior Architect to join the Experian Marketing Services architecture team. You will shape the long-term technology strategy and ensure a scalable, secure, and interoperable enterprise architecture aligned with Experian\'s strategic goals.

You will collaborate with business and technology partners to evolve and future-proof technology ecosystem that enables innovation, efficiency, and seamless integration across the organization.

What you will do

As an important member of our architecture team, you will be more than just a technical expert; you will be a leader, a mentor, and a strategist. Your daily tasks will involve:

  • Guide the Vision: Collaborating with product and engineering teams to develop the next generation of our cloud applications and infrastructure.
  • Build Bridges: Being a critical link between teams to ensure technical projects align with strategic goals.
  • Guide Excellence: Mentor engineers and promoting a culture of high-quality, secure, and automated development practices.
  • Solving Complex Challenges: Architecting solutions for processing high-volume data workloads and ensuring our systems are secure and scalable.

Experience and Skills

  • 7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
  • Experience developing and evolving enterprise-wide architecture strategies aligned with long-term goals.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with major cloud providers such as AWS and GCP.
  • 2+ years of experience in an architecture role
  • Cloud & Modernization Expertise: Experienced in cloud migration, legacy system modernization, and designing secure cloud infrastructure using AWS or GCP.
  • Architecture & Data: Experienced across application, data, infrastructure, security, and integration domains, with knowledge of large-scale data processing.
  • Strategic Planning: Familiar with modernization strategies like rehosting, replatforming, and refactoring, including build vs. buy evaluations.
  • Performance & Scalability: Understands non-functional requirements such as reliability, performance, and security.
  • Leadership & Communication: Leads technical teams, ensures architectural consistency, and communicates complex ideas to senior partners.

Additional Information

This is a remote position, a permanent home-based role in Costa Rica. No relocation is available.
