Job Title: Security Operations Analyst Location: Fully Remote (UK-based) Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 The Company We are working with a leading UK-based IT solutions provider specialising in Microsoft-focused security services. The business delivers outsourced security event monitoring and incident response to a broad portfolio of clients across multiple sectors.With a strong reputation in the Microsoft security ecosystem, the organisation continues to invest heavily in its people, technology, and training programmes. Due to continued growth, they are expanding their Security Operations team and are looking to hire multiple SOC Analysts to support both internal and external customers.This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, fast-growing environment with clear progression into more advanced security roles. Role & Responsibilities As a Security Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring, triaging, and responding to security events and incidents across a Microsoft-centric technology stack.Key responsibilities include:Monitoring and managing incoming security events, alerts, and service requestsCategorising and triaging incidents, ensuring appropriate escalation where requiredInvestigating alerts generated from SIEM and EDR toolsLiaising with customers to gather information, provide updates, and confirm resolutionSupporting incident response activities in line with defined processes and playbooksInstalling and configuring security tools and software where requiredMaintaining accurate documentation of incidents, actions, and outcomesWorking within a 24/7 shift rota, ensuring continuous monitoring and response coverageCollaborating with senior analysts and wider security teams to improve processes and detection capabilities Your Skills & Experience Understanding of core information security principlesStrong written and verbal communication skillsTechnical understanding of IT infrastructure including Microsoft 365, Azure ActiveDirectory, and Azure PortalAbility to install and support security software and toolsDesirable experience:Previous experience within a SOC or security operations environmentFamiliarity with SIEM platforms such as Microsoft SentinelExperience with endpoint detection and response (EDR) toolsMicrosoft security certifications or a willingness to achieve them Company Benefits 33 days holiday (inclusive of shift allowance)Health membership with cashback on healthcare and retail discountsLife cover (2x basic salary)Employer pension contribution (4% matched)Structured training and certification support within Microsoft security pathwaysOngoing career development and progression opportunitiesEmployee referral schemeFully remote working model with flexible home-based setupAdditional Information:Candidates must have the right to work in the UKA Standard DBS check will be required as part of the onboarding process
