Social Media Coordinator, UK & EMEA

We are looking for a Social Media Coordinator to join our team, in a newly created role. You will join the Disney+ team as someone that loves streaming great TV and has an appreciation for pop culture. You will join as a member of the broader comms, social and influencer team. The role will ensure the smooth running of Disney+ UK\'s social channels as well as ensuring our EMEA colleagues are set up for success. The role will manage assets through multiple business departments, manage our daily request platform and ensure the smooth running of the service across EMEA. You will work closely with our creative services teams to ensure markets have what they need to deliver fantastic campaigns. Working in a close‑knit team, your role is responsible for the day‑to‑day management of influencer driven campaigns from early planning to execution, to drive awareness of our brand and titles to our target audiences. The ideal candidate has exceptional organisational and creative knowledge, a good grasp of creative copywriting that is suitable for social platforms and brings a willingness to react quickly with a ‘can do’ solutions‑based attitude in an ever‑changing landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Content calendar forward planning
  • You will manage scheduling, copywriting, asset distribution and maintain accurate records (briefs/music and talent clearances, etc.), and improve communication and delivery between EMEA and global teams.
  • You will oversee the social content calendar that requires detailed understanding of the Disney+ content landscape, fractured date approach and ensuring we act in an agile way where required.
  • You will work with the team to ensure suitable planning and access to both assets and content.
  • You will need to familiarise yourself with multiple content repositories and platforms.
  • Support broader team on projects and events, often called upon to ensure smooth running of junkets and securing content for our platforms.
  • Part of a wider social media ecosystem with cross‑team collaboration, supporting internal processes and informing playbooks, governance and best practice.
  • Disciplined approach to managing complex internal processes to solve problems and coordinate with stakeholders across markets and globally on any reporting requirements following any local market incidents.
  • Use judgement and knowledge to shape solutions to contribute to optimal ways of working in step with the broader business expectations.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with content planning, scheduling, and planning tools for the smooth running of a number of social channels.
  • Ideally you will have experience working with multiple asset systems and content management platforms between markets and global teams.
  • Collaboration is your middle name. You love to work with others, and aren\'t afraid to speak up and this may be with multi‑territory teams.
  • You are known to be proactive and highly organised with the ability to plan and manage multiple platform outputs.
  • You have a general understanding of the UK social media landscape, from understanding what can cut through where to know what will drive engagement rates.
  • Approachable and confident manner with a flexible, can‑do attitude, collaborating for success.
  • You are passionate about great TV – across genres, and are able to channel this into your work, being consistently curious and looking for ways to innovate.
  • You love the media and entertainment industry, and bring demonstrable experience in a social media team and agency, ideally from a TV or streaming service background.
