Soft Wovens Designer

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading fashion supplier for an experienced Womenswear Soft Wovens Designer across multi-product to join their growing team. Based in London, this is a highly customer-facing role suited to a commercially driven designer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has had previous experience working with Primark. We are looking for someone with a strong eye for emerging trends, excellent product instinct and the ability to react quickly to customer needs. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, proactive and confident presenting ideas to buyers, with a proven track record of developing trend-led, high-volume product for the Primark customer. You will play a key role in creating commercially successful ranges, identifying new opportunities and driving product development from concept through to delivery. Main Responsibilities will include:

  • Design and develop trend-led, commercially focused soft woven womenswear ranges in line with Primark briefs, target prices and customer requirements.
  • Research and interpret emerging fashion trends, translating them into wearable, high-volume product with strong commercial appeal.
  • Present ranges, concepts and seasonal updates confidently to buyers and customers.
  • React quickly to new trends and customer requests, ensuring speed to market and relevance at all times.
  • Maintain a strong awareness of competitor activity, bestselling products and market developments to inform design decisions.
  • Support the development of new product opportunities and contribute fresh ideas to drive account growth.

    Proven experience designing womenswear soft wovens for the Primark account within a supplier environment.
  • Strong commercial awareness and a clear understanding of the Primark customer and product strategy.
  • Highly trend-focused with an excellent eye for fashion, colour, shape and detail.
  • Able to work at pace, manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-moving environment.
  • Confident presenting to buyers and building strong customer relationships.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and driven, with a positive and energetic approach.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to take ownership of projects from concept through to completion.
  • Experience working within short lead times and fast fashion product development is highly advantageous.
