Software Tester – Automation

This is a full-time, permanent position for a Software Tester – Automation in a hybrid working model, requiring on-site attendance at least three days per week in Hendon, London. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of applications within a large-scale managed service program. This position involves working across the full software development life-cycle, applying both manual and automated testing techniques to deliver robust solutions in mission-critical environments. Candidates must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance. Key Responsibilities * Perform testing within an Application Support environment to ensure system stability and performance. * Implement and utilise test automation techniques to improve efficiency and coverage. * Review business requirements and technical solutions to provide guidance and accurate testing estimates. * Develop, maintain, and execute test scripts across multiple applications in line with agreed estimates. * Conduct functional and non-functional testing to a high standard within Agile or Waterfall development life cycles. * Identify, document, and communicate potential defects, ensuring alignment with expected outcomes. * Collaborate with development and business teams to ensure quality standards are met throughout the life cycles. Key Qualifications Must-Have: * Proven experience in testing within an Application Support environment. * Strong understanding of the full software development life-cycle and its application to testing. * Hold recognised testing certifications such as ISTQB. * Ability to develop, maintain, and execute test scripts across multiple applications. * Skilled in functional and non-functional testing within Agile or Waterfall frameworks. * Must be eligible for UK Security Clearance, requiring at least three years of UK residence Preferred: * Experience or knowledge of test automation techniques. * Working knowledge of translating business requirements into technical solutions and providing testing guidance. * Familiarity with estimating testing efforts and planning across complex projects. Additional Information * We are unable to support sponsorship for this position. * You will be required to attend our site at least three days per week and therefore must live within commutable distance from Hendon, London. * Candidates must have resided in the UK for a minimum of three years to qualify for security clearance. This requirement is non-negotiable. You must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance for this role
