As a Stores Operative with Sodexo, you'll enhance the services of our vibrant corporate site, offering a helping hand to ensure flawless facilities operations and keep things running smoothly.

We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Stores Operative to join our team at the Macclesfield site.

This is a hands-on role supporting the day-to-day delivery of onsite services, with a particular focus on the receipt, distribution and stock control of sterile and non-sterile garments. You will work closely with customers, remote teams and colleagues to ensure a high-quality, reliable service.

What you'll do:

  • Receive, distribute and monitor sterile and non-sterile garment stock to meet customer requirements.
  • Liaise with customers, remote staff and internal teams to ensure service levels and KPIs are achieved.
  • Provide a professional and responsive customer service at all times.
  • Log faults, issues and concerns promptly and ensure they are followed through to resolution.
  • Support the team with holiday and sickness cover when required.
  • Attend team meetings, briefings and training as required.
  • Follow all Health & Safety, GMP, GLP and COSHH requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve services and the customer experience.
  • Work with supervisors, team leaders and customers to identify and resolve challenges.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and suggest new ideas, processes and services.
  • Maintain clear, professional and timely communication with customers and colleagues.

Experience and Knowledge

Ideally, you will have:

    • Previous experience in a customer service, onsite services, facilities or similar environment.
    • Experience working in a professional or corporate environment.
    • Experience managing individual customer requirements while meeting agreed service levels.
    • Good understanding or awareness of GMP and COSHH.
    • Experience within a mailroom, reprographics, hospitality or similar service environment is desirable.
    • Experience working within a multi-skilled team and delivering services to high-profile or blue-chip organisations is desirable.
    • Relevant training, qualifications or experience to meet legislative and statutory requirements.
