We'll trust you too. * Help manage and administer Broadway's global trading hardware, network, systems, and data center infrastructure. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, operating system, network, and performance issues within the trading environment. * Serve as a systems administrator for production Windows and Linux environments, including server builds, patching, configuration management, access control, monitoring, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management. * Support global data center and colocation environments, including server racking, cabling standards, power management, remote access, hardware replacement, inventory control, asset tracking, and coordination with data center providers. * Manage smart hands / remote hands activities across global data centers, including break/fix work, physical installs, cable tracing, hardware swaps, optics replacement, console access, power cycling, and vendor coordination. * Ensure the security of trading infrastructure. Remain current on information security best practices and recommend, implement, and maintain security tools, policies, standards, and procedures. * Configure and support multicast networks and low-latency trading network requirements. * Build and administer the hardware, network, operating system, virtualization, cloud, and database layers powering advanced trading systems. * Manage Active Directory and identity-related services in trading environments, including users, groups, permissions, GPOs, DNS, DHCP, and authentication integrations. * Collaborate with customers, vendors, exchanges, market partners, data center providers, and internal technical teams to implement and maintain network connectivity. * Create and maintain documentation for colocation environments, infrastructure standards, asset inventory, operational runbooks, support procedures, and user-facing documentation for utilizing infrastructure services. * Manage short- and long-term infrastructure projects while owning day-to-day production issues through resolution and keeping stakeholders informed of status, risks, and next steps. * Leverage and expand automation across infrastructure activities to improve operational scale, reliability, repeatability, and speed using PowerShell, Python, Puppet, Foreman, Ansible, OpenStack, and related deployment/configuration tools. * Automate server provisioning, operating system builds, configuration management, patching, application deployment, inventory updates, monitoring setup, and compliance checks. * Support infrastructure-as-code and configuration-as-code practices using tools such as Puppet, Ansible, Foreman, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and version-controlled runbooks/playbooks. * Participate in change management, incident response, root cause analysis, capacity planning, and continuous improvement efforts for global trading infrastructure. You'll need to have: * Superior Windows and Linux administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills. * Strong experience administering production servers, including hardware, operating systems, services, storage, networking, monitoring, patching, and security hardening. * Exceptional problem-solving skills across hardware, networking, operating systems, and automation platforms. * Experience managing asset inventory, spares, RMAs, lifecycle tracking, hardware refreshes, and infrastructure documentation. * Knowledge of and experience implementing best practices to enforce network and system security, including standards such as ISO 27001, SOC, or similar control frameworks. * Knowledge of IP routing, VLANs, ACLs, NAT, BGP, multicast, firewalling, VPNs, and network segmentation. * Experience with configuration management, automation, and deployment tools such as Puppet, Foreman, Ansible, OpenStack, PowerShell, and Python. * A bachelor's or master's degree in telecommunications, computer engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. * At least 4 years of systems administration experience in production environments, including Linux and Windows Server administration, patching, troubleshooting, monitoring, and access management. * Experience in low-latency infrastructure / network design and management is a must. * Experience managing switches, routers, firewalls, and other network equipment at L2/L3, including connectivity between international data centers, customer sites, exchanges, and market partners. * At least 4 years of scripting and automation experience demonstrating skill across multiple technologies, including PowerShell, Python, Puppet, Ansible, Foreman, or similar tools. * Experience with server provisioning, bare-metal deployment, image management, configuration management, and automated build pipelines using tools such as Puppet, Foreman, Ansible, and OpenStack. * Experience maintaining accurate infrastructure inventory, including servers, networking equipment, optics, cabling, licenses, spares, and warranty/RMA tracking. * Experience coordinating smart hands / remote hands work with global data centers and colocation vendors. * Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-availability production environment where uptime, accuracy, and response time are critical. We'd love to see * Hands-on experience working with physical infrastructure in data center or colocation environments, including servers, switches, cabling, optics, console access, power, and remote hands coordination. * Experience with OpenStack administration, private cloud platforms, virtualization, and automated bare-metal or virtual machine provisioning. * Experience with Puppet, Foreman, Ansible, Git, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and configuration-as-code workflows. * Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, Librenms, or similar platforms. * Experience with time synchronization technologies such as NTP, PTP, GPS clocks, or low-latency timing requirements. * Experience with hardware platforms from vendors such as Dell, HPE, Arista, Cisco, Fortinet, or similar. * Experience securing edge infrastructure with firewalls, IDS/IPS products, VPNs, access control, segmentation, and secure configuration standards. * Experience in a low latency environment using solarflare/onload etc If indicated, please note that years of experience are a guide; we will consider applications from all candidates who can demonstrate the skills necessary for the role.
