In this role, you will provide systems support for the Planning Service, taking ownership of issues from initial identification and investigation through to successful resolution. About the Role:

We are looking for a Systems Support Officer to join our well-established Development Management team at Cheshire East. This role involves providing systems support for the Planning Service, helping to ensure the effective operation, configuration, maintenance and continuous improvement of our business systems. Acting as the first point of contact for system-related queries and issues, you will investigate problems, identify solutions and work closely with Officers, ICT colleagues and software suppliers to achieve timely resolutions.

You will be committed to delivering an excellent service and improving the user experience. We are looking for someone who enjoys problem-solving, takes a proactive approach to finding solutions, and is motivated by making a positive difference through continuous improvement.

About you:

  • The ability to improve business processes and to implement change
  • You must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with all stakeholders in the planning process.
  • You must be organised with an eye for detail and possess excellent ICT skills.
  • You should enjoy problem solving and working to deadlines.
  • You will have the ability to work effectively to meet challenging deadlines and competing and changing priorities.
