TELEMARKETING MANAGER

Staines-upon-Thames | £18 per hour plus commission | Full-time (37.5 hrs/week) or Part-time (30 hrs/week)

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and proactive Telemarketing Manager to join the Business Development team at Accent Catering. This is a flexible role that can be worked on a hybrid or fully remote basis, offering the opportunity to generate new business opportunities, build relationships with prospective clients and create a strong pipeline of sales opportunities.

Working closely with the Business Development, Marketing and Operations teams, you will be responsible for proactive outbound sales activity, identifying and qualifying prospective clients across the education and business & industry sectors. You will also support the wider sales process by managing CRM activity, monitoring tender opportunities and ensuring opportunities are effectively progressed from initial contact through to contract award.

We're looking for someone with previous experience in telemarketing, business development, sales support or lead generation within a B2B environment. You'll have excellent communication skills, a professional telephone manner and the confidence to engage with prospective clients. You'll be highly organised, self-motivated and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. Experience within contract catering or the education catering sector would be advantageous.

As our Telemarketing Manager, you will be:-

  • Generating new business opportunities through proactive outbound calls to prospective clients across the education and business & industry sectors
  • Building relationships with key decision makers including School Business Managers, Bursars, Facilities Managers, Multi Academy Trusts, Independent Schools and commercial clients
  • Generating qualified sales leads and securing appointments for Business Development Managers
  • Developing and maintaining a strong pipeline of prospective business opportunities through proactive prospecting and follow-up activity
  • Researching target markets, geographical areas and sectors to identify future opportunities
  • Responding to incoming enquiries and acting as the first point of contact for prospective clients
  • Maintaining accurate CRM records, call activity, sales opportunities and customer information
  • Recording contract renewal dates, tender opportunities and competitor intelligence to support business planning
  • Supporting the Business Development team with diary management, meeting coordination and sales administration
  • Monitoring procurement portals, consultant websites and tender platforms for new business opportunities
  • Reviewing tender opportunities, managing registrations and supporting submission processes
  • Coordinating sales documentation and supporting a smooth transition from initial enquiry through to contract mobilisation
  • Working collaboratively with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience


What you will bring:-

  • Previous experience in telemarketing, business development, sales support or lead generation within a B2B environment
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building and customer engagement skills
  • A confident and professional telephone manner with strong listening and questioning skills
  • Proven ability to generate and qualify new business opportunities
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong administration skills
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • A proactive, resilient and results-driven approach
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to identify and assess business opportunities
  • The ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a collaborative team
  • Experience within contract catering or the education catering sector would be advantageous

SALARY

£18 per hour, plus commission


HOURS

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

We can also offer flexibility for the right candidate to work 30 hours per week across four or five days.


LOCATION

Based at our prestigious riverside offices in Staines-upon-Thames, this role offers the flexibility to work on a hybrid basis or fully remotely, subject to business requirements. Attendance at the Staines office will be required for meetings, training and team events as appropriate.
