<h1>Temporary Finance Administrator</h1><p class="isSelectedEnd"><strong>Location:</strong> Remote / Ocassional travel to the London office <br /><strong>Salary:</strong> £17.00 per hour + holiday pay<br /><strong>Contract:</strong> Temporary ongoing role 3-6 months<br /><strong>Hours:</strong> 9am until 5pm, Monday to Friday </p><h3>About the organisation</h3><p class="isSelectedEnd">We're working with a longstanding, not-for-profit organisation that works closely with the Police Service, government, businesses and communities across the UK to help reduce crime and create safer places for everyone.</p><p class="isSelectedEnd">As part of the wider National Police Chiefs' Council (NPCC) prevention network, the organisation delivers innovative crime prevention and demand reduction initiatives, working with a wide range of partners including local authorities, housing associations, developers, manufacturers, security specialists and other key stakeholders.</p><p class="isSelectedEnd">The team is friendly, collaborative and professional, with a strong focus on <strong>innovation, excellence, integrity, collaboration, professionalism and respect</strong>.</p><h3>About the role</h3><p class="isSelectedEnd">We're looking for a highly organised and detail-focused <strong>Finance Administrator</strong> to provide financial and administrative support for one of the organisations key projects.</p><p class="isSelectedEnd">This is a varied role where you'll play an important part in ensuring customers receive an efficient and professional service, while supporting the smooth running of the end-to-end financial administration process.</p><p class="isSelectedEnd">You'll be a key point of contact for customers and stakeholders, managing enquiries and quotations through to purchase orders, invoicing, payment recording and credit control.</p><p class="isSelectedEnd">The role would suit someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, takes pride in accuracy and organisation, and is confident communicating with a range of customers, suppliers and internal colleagues.</p><h3>Key responsibilities</h3><ul data-spread="false"><li>Manage and respond to enquiries received through the inquiries inbox, providing a professional and timely customer service.</li><li>Prepare and issue accurate customer quotations using Salesforce.</li><li>Process supplier request forms and ensure records are maintained in line with organisational procedures.</li><li>Manage customer purchase orders, including checking documentation and recording purchase order details in Salesforce.</li><li>Generate and distribute customer invoices through a CRM.</li><li>Monitor outstanding invoices and carry out proactive credit control, following up on overdue payments.</li><li>Accurately record customer payments in the CRM and maintain up-to-date financial records.</li><li>Maintain accurate administrative and financial documentation.</li><li>Support reporting requirements and contribute to improving processes and customer service standards.</li><li>Work collaboratively with colleagues, customers and suppliers to ensure enquiries and financial administration are dealt with efficiently.</li></ul><h3>About you</h3><p class="isSelectedEnd">We're looking for someone who is <strong>organised, reliable and commercially aware</strong>, with excellent attention to detail and a genuine commitment to delivering a high level of customer service.</p><p class="isSelectedEnd">You'll ideally have:</p><ul data-spread="false"><li>Previous experience in a finance administration, accounts administration or similar role.</li><li>Excellent organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.</li><li>Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and Teams.</li><li>Experience using finance, CRM or business management systems such as <strong>Salesforce or similar</strong>.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.</li><li>The ability to analyse information, identify discrepancies and resolve issues effectively.</li><li>A proactive, solution-focused approach and the confidence to use your own initiative.</li><li>The ability to work independently while also being a supportive and collaborative team member.</li><li>An understanding of confidentiality and data protection requirements.</li></ul><h3>Why join?</h3><p class="isSelectedEnd">This is an opportunity to join an organisation that makes a real contribution to creating safer communities across the UK.</p><p class="isSelectedEnd">You'll be joining a friendly and collaborative team where your work will directly support the efficient delivery of an important crime prevention initiative.
