Transportation Specialist

We are looking for a Transportation & Logistics Specialist with 2+ years of experience at Amazon to coordinate the daily execution of deliveries and collections across multiple couriers and international markets.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, this role is responsible for monitoring order flows, tracking warehouse stock levels, resolving logistics issues with partners such as DHL, FedEx, and DPD, and delivering daily reporting on key operational KPIs.

The ideal candidate has experience in high-volume supply chain or e-commerce environments, and thrives on improving processes through data-driven insights and automation. This role offers strong growth potential, with opportunities to take ownership of more complex operational areas over time.

🔹Your responsibilities

Order Management

  • Process and validate customer orders in internal systems.
  • Ensure accuracy of order details, pricing, and shipping information.
  • Coordinate order releases with warehouse and procurement teams.

Logistics, Delivery & Returns Coordination

  • Plan and coordinate daily shipments & collections.
  • Work closely with courier partners such as DHL, FedEx, and DPD.
  • Track shipments & returns end-to-end and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Optimize courier selection based on cost, speed, and reliability.

Issue Resolution & Exception Handling

  • Proactively monitor shipment delays, losses, and delivery exceptions.
  • Investigate root causes and coordinate resolutions with internal teams and logistics partners.
  • Escalate critical issues and ensure timely closure.

Inventory & Warehouse Coordination

  • Place orders monitoring warehouse stock levels and availability.
  • Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure timely picking, packing, and dispatch.
  • Fast track returns to be refurbished and set for a new sale.

Collections & Payment Follow-ups

  • If requested, track outstanding invoices and coordinate payment collections.
  • Follow up with customers on pending payments.
  • Reconcile delivery status with invoicing and payment records.

Reporting & Data Analysis

  • Maintain and report on key operational KPIs (e.g., on time deliveries).
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends and inefficiencies.
  • Prepare daily/weekly reports for the Head of Operations.

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows and reduce manual effort.
  • Support automation initiatives using Excel or internal tools.
  • Contribute to building scalable SOPs and operational processes.

🔹Experience and Skills

  • 2+years of experience as a Transportation Specialist or Logistic Executive at Amazon.
  • An advanced Microsoft Excel user, capable of automating flows into IT systems.
  • High level of ownership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple operational workflows simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Tech-savvy, with a knowledge of the most common CRM, ERP and eCommerce systems.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, independent worker.
