Due to continued growth, they are looking to strengthen their machining team with the addition of a skilled machinist who can programme, set and operate vertical turning and boring machines.</p> <p><strong>Vertical Turner / Vertical Borer</strong><br /><strong>Job Description</strong> </p><ul> <li>Programme, set and operate Vertical Turning / Boring machines</li> <li>Machine low-volume, high-integrity components to tight tolerances</li> <li>Work with a range of materials including nickel alloys, titanium, stainless steels, aluminium and carbon steels</li> <li>Prove out new programs and support continuous improvement activities</li> <li>Interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation</li> <li>Carry out in-process inspection using a variety of measuring equipment</li> <li>Complete route cards and production paperwork accurately</li> <li>Maintain high housekeeping and safety standards</li> <li>Carry out routine machine maintenance checks</li> </ul> <p><strong>Vertical Turner / Vertical Borer</strong><br /><strong>Qualifications & Skills</strong> </p><ul> <li>Apprentice trained, Time Served or NVQ Level 3 qualified in Engineering</li> <li>Previous experience programming, setting and operating Vertical Borers or Vertical Turners</li> <li>Strong understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerances</li> <li>Experience working within a precision machining environment</li> <li>Ability to machine a variety of materials and maintain high-quality standards</li> <li>Experience with Fanuc or Siemens controls would be advantageous</li> <li>Background within Aerospace, Nuclear, Power Generation or similar industries would be beneficial</li> </ul> <p><strong>Package on Offer</strong> </p><ul> <li>Competitive hourly rate of £17.82 - £21.17 per hour</li> <li>Overtime paid at 1.5x</li> <li>33 days holiday including bank holidays</li> <li>Company pension scheme</li> <li>Company sick pay scheme</li> <li>Life insurance</li> </ul>
