WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE – EXPORT PACKING – Broughton Astley, Leicester

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative – Export Packing to join our well-established client based in Broughton Astley, Leicester.

£26,700 - £28,000 per annum | Monday to Friday | Permanent Position | Full Training Provided | Long-Term Career Progression | Specialist Export Packing Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established international freight and logistics business offering full training, long-term career stability, and the opportunity to develop specialist export packing skills within a secure bonded warehouse environment.

This role would suit candidates with experience as a Warehouse Operative, Export Packing Operative, Production Operative, Manufacturing Operative, Assembly Operative, Packing Operative, Woodworker or General Operative.

Shifts

 • Monday to Friday
 • 07:30 – 16:00

Salary

 • £26,700 - £28,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Day-to-Day Duties

As a Warehouse Operative – Export Packing, your duties will include but not be limited to:

 • Manufacturing and assembling bespoke wooden export cases and crates
 • Packing machinery, equipment, and high-value goods for worldwide shipment
 • Preparing cargo to customer specifications and international export standards
 • Using a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively
 • Loading and unloading goods within the warehouse
 • Supporting the movement and storage of cargo throughout the warehouse
 • Working within a secure bonded warehouse environment
 • Following all health and safety, quality, and security procedures
 • Supporting general warehouse duties as required

Essential Skills

To be successful as a Warehouse Operative – Export Packing, you will need:

 • Previous warehouse, manufacturing, production, assembly, construction, woodworking, or other practical hands-on experience
 • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills
 • Good attention to detail
 • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
 • A reliable and hardworking approach
 • Good communication skills

Due to the nature of this role and the secure cargo handled within the warehouse, successful applicants must also be able to:

 • Pass a Basic DBS check
 • Provide a five-year employment or education history with no gaps exceeding 28 days
 • Provide proof of right to work and photographic ID (such as a British Passport or UK Driving Licence)

Desirable Experience

 • A Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence would be advantageous but is not essential

Training Provided

 • Full industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your employment
 • Specialist export packing training within a secure bonded warehouse environment
