Summary

Warehouse Operatives needed in Polar Park. Rate of Pay: £12.71 per hour. Shifts available: 8 hours a day (sometimes 12 hours). Shift Pattern: 4 ON / 2 OFF or 5 days per week. Weekly Pay. Full training provided. Temp to Perm (performance-based). No car park available, public transport only. Start Date: 4-6 weeks after interview once fully security cleared.

Optime Group are excited to be recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to join a well-respected and successful client in Polar Park.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to additional security checks required for this role, successful applicants MUST have lived in the UK for the last 5 years.

What’s on offer:

  • Rate of Pay: £12.71 per hour
  • Shifts available: 8 hours a day (depending on the requirement - Sometimes can be 12 hours a day)
  • Shift Pattern: 4 ON / 2 OFF or 5 days per week
  • Weekly Pay (every Friday)
  • Full training provided
  • Temp to Perm (performance-based)
  • Car park is not available ( only public transport for this role)

Start Date: Once fully security cleared - 4-6 weeks after interview.

Key Duties:

  • Accurately picking items from warehouse stock as per order sheet.
  • Wrapping orders securely for despatch.
  • Operate all equipment, as per training, to meet hygiene, health, and safety expectations.
  • Physical tasks include checking cages, high lifts, fork lifts, stocking up, pushing, pulling and lifting 20kg-30kg (linens/toiletries).
  • Assuring the proper handling of hazardous materials.
  • Security checking of the trollies and reporting any findings as per your training.

Shifts:

The Airport is operational 7 days per week and candidates will be working on a 4 on 2 off rolling rota and you will need to be fully flexible with the days and hours you can work. This could be subject to change!

An example of the shift hours:

  • 07:00AM-15:00PM/07:00AM-15:00PM/07:00AM-15:00PM/07:00AM-15:00PM/OFF/OFF (Which could be subject to change due to operational needs - Can sometimes be from 06:00AM-1800PM)


Requirements:

  • Must hold a valid Passport or Driving Licence /Birth Certificate or National ID card.
  • This role requires you to stand for long periods of time (8 hours).
  • UK Settled Status (If applicable).
  • Proof of National Insurance.
  • Proof of (current) Address.
  • 5 Year Address History.
  • 5 Year Work Reference History.
  • Successful candidates will be required to complete a basic criminal record check following the interview in line with CAA requirements.


Please note: As this is an airport role, successful candidates must pass security checks in-line with CAA regulations. These checks include 5-year work and address history, DBS (must have no disqualifying criminal convictions), valid Right to Work.
